Just buy a yubikey and use it for 2FA on everything web related that supports it (which is a ton of shit)

Gee who would have imagined
I'd have actually imagined it hovering even closer to 10 but I guess it will get there soon enough! Hopefully Tesla nose dives too since a ton of his wealth is loaded up into it
Shocked if it's actually worth 19B.
Lots of user data to mine and take advantage of. The servers will always be worth money just for the personal information

Meta Inc announced they will begin charging FB and IG users in Europe a monthly subscription for ad-free usage. Ad supported version will still remain free. This is how it starts, they'll probably be charging worldwide within 24 months bet
Well we already get ads in both, no? So whatever
Did the lessons of all the streaming services teach you nothing? They always start saying you can pay for no ads, then later change to you pay and STILL get ads, before offering a "premium tier" or somesuch where you pay more to not receive ads.
He's referring to Netflix and Disney+, even YT to an extent where they have you pay for "limited ads" and a premium tier with "no ads".
How many ads does Netflix's cheap plan with ads have? I have been considering that one.

They weren’t free, no. They introduce ads and give you an option to pay for an ad free version. And then not long after that, you get ads anyway with your paid subscription. And then they offer an even more high priced tier sub to go ad free again.
Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, Paramount Plus, HBO Max all have done this
Again, just don't pay for the no ads version. You already have ads on both FB and Instagram. You'll manage.
…I’m not sure how you are still missing my point.
Rolling this out means the days of free use WILL be coming to an end. Sooner rather than later, they WILL roll out a mandatory subscription *with ads* and offer a higher sub cost to go ad free.
