I used to work for a place that was thinking about getting something like this, i told them it would be a bad idea for two reasons.

1. You are going to piss off your employees by treating them like children. Work time shouldn't be tracked, just production and results.
2. I showed them how easy it was to get around something like this... i did it by using a piece of tape and attached the mouse cord to a rotating desk fan.

MS teams puts you on auto-away after 10 minutes of inactivity, and it cant be disabled. Even though I'm a sysadmin and occasionally may be pulled away from my laptop for periods at a time, I still looked for a workaround.

I dont like being put on auto-away cause I havent tap tap on my laptop. I'm still reachable on my phone if someone needs me.

Must be your org settings with Teams, as we use it here at work and it never puts me in an away status.

Maybe CEO changed something, and if thats the case I cant really change it back. I'll check though if such a setting exists.

Same, mine never goes to "away". NynJa, I would suggest trying to put it on your phone and see if that will... "Fix" your issue. Having the app on your phone and open.

I have it on my phone, still flags me as away. I can go into the backend settings with sysadmin privileges, its possible one of the bosses changed something.

Yea, i just checked and one of my co-works who hasn't been on the VPN in 5 hours left his teams open on his computer and he still has a green check.

Get your profile reset or something, if it's only used on that 1 device, also try to completely uninstall and reinstall the app.
