The discord move seems weird but if Microsoft really is going to buy it, then they probably want to purge all NSFW content.

Not working for me on mobile or chrome. It "works" on my LTE, but it feels like 56k.
It was down for a little while yesterday, but it came back before too long.
Huh, scratch that. App is working for me, but mobile browser (Firefox) isn't. It definitely came back last night though.

Apple to allow Parler to return to their app store.
Parler has updated its app and improved its content moderation, an Apple official wrote in the letter. As of April 14, Apple’s App Review department had approved the changes and an updated version of Parler will be approved by Apple, the letter said.
“Apple anticipates that the updated Parler app will become available immediately upon Parler releasing it,” Timothy Powderly, Apple’s senior director for government affairs, wrote in the letter, which was addressed to Buck and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah.
Buck said in a tweet that the decision was a “huge win for free speech.” The Parler app was not available for download on an iPhone on Monday morning, and Parler didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

A fake advertiser from Australia found that Facebook will still approve ads for gambling, smoking, drinking alcohol, and dating apps geared towards teenagers despite Facebook claiming they review every ad before approval.
Spoiler: show
One A$ is equal to $0.78 USD.Facebook forbids advertising alcohol and other inappropriate products to under-18s - but the researchers were able to advertise, for example, a:
- cocktail recipe to 52,000 teenage children Facebook identified as interested in alcohol
- vape pen to 1,000 identified as interested in smoking or vaping
In total, Facebook’s Ads Manager platform offered access to about 740,000 teenage Australian children.
It identified another 14,000 of these as interested in gambling and others in:
- extreme weight loss
- fast foods
- online dating
Each targeted advertisement cost:
- alcohol - A$3.03
- gambling - A$11.24
- smoking or vaping - A$138.50-210.97
Approved adverts included text:
- mentioning winning prizes to those interested in gambling
- asking those interested in extreme weight loss if they were “summer-body ready"
Fb finally getting their shit pushed in. Got this nice notification on their ads manager about iOS14 and how it will rekt my campaigns.
