Somehow they have it in their heads that they'll make more money if they cut out the porn because investors have a stigma about sex work.

Read up on it a bit. They still allow nude photos and videos, but based on their content guidelines and no hardcore stuff. Supposedly it was banks and the like forced this change. I feel like this is going to keep happening no matter where these people go; in the end, if the banks and credit card companies don't want to be part of this it won't matter who opens up a competing site to take over what OF was doing, once they start to monetize, the payment companies will get cold feet and run.
