Afaik the original point of the subreddit was "work is literally slavery I want free money" but it gradually progressed into people wanting better working conditions. This mod was part of the original group

I wasn't absolving him of anything, I simply said he's not a fascist overlord. If he was truly so evil as to be worthy of that title why would so many in Silicon Valley keep working with him? There's plenty of money to go around that doesn't need to come from him.

If you want to be euphemistic he is an anarcho-libertarian. He thinks that the rich are the smartest and deserving of as much power and influence as they can achieve unrestricted by laws and norms. In practice that just plays out as fascism. He says that freedom and democracy are incompatible. He is allies with Bannon and Trump and wields his political Pioneer Fund to achieve their goals.

Most of the stuff I see posted on r/antiwork that make front page are the posts with fake screenshots showing an employer telling the OP that they are the most qualified but ask if they will take 1/2 the salary promised. These are accounts farming karma so they can be sold as bots.

In case it's not completely obvious already Zuckerburg and Theil wield Facebook as a tool to spread fascist propaganda and influence elections. Silicon Valley is not our friend. The platform is effused with fake profiles, bots, spam, and astroturf political operations.
