I know it is a fun joke, but the scale is so large than he cannot possibly benefit from it.

I think he is just up a river without a paddle, and I don't think he had the bandwidth to start with. I bet he mostly cuts cost, including tilting it in whatever way is cheapest bias-wise, and then writes off the annual business losses as if he is doing society a favor, like the many rich people that bought papers.

I don't have to defend him, I really shouldn't defend him but damnit I'm bored so I'll suppress my vomit.

For me, I'd argue someone with a lot of money, fame, and followers pushing their politics isn't unique to him or even his first time. He's done this before, it existing is not suppressing the other sides voice, and is wildly different from him using the Twitter algorithm itself pushing right wing information and propaganda to more eyes while suppressing left wing voices. This tweet would have the same impact on his followers rather he was owner or not. Nobody suddenly started caring about his opinion because he bought twitter, Elon Musk dickrider fanboys have been a meme long before this.

I may hate him and his daddy-issue having "Please like me Im totally not an emotionally repressed nerd desperately trying to be the popular kid now haha" persona with a passion but this one, very specific scenario, its not him abusing his position specifically as Twitter owner.

Of course I wouldn't put it past him to have had someone boost his post in the algorithm cause he's an attention whore but without evidence of such I'm not going to lose sleep over the what-if. At least he gives us plenty of other reasons to hate him :D
