Pharma company Eli Lilly and Co's stock took a 4% dip after a parody account said that they will now begin to sell insulin for free and the company lost millions just by 1 tweet. You can't really feel bad for one of I think what 3 companies that control insulin and charge insane prices. But at the same time, you can see how dangerous this could be.
Edit: Looks like the fake tweet coincidentally was sent out roughly close to the time where a report came out showing that the retail sales for their mAb IL-17 inhibitor was down 5% which also affected other pharmas. So it was just a coincidence.
I knew he would destroy Twitter if the sale ever went through but I never thought it would be this crazy.

How the fuck is he not thinking any decision through. You don't waste staff time implementing features you want and then ripping them out hours later because you had no foresight to do the "how can this be abused" litmus test.
It should be very clear at this point that Elon's intent is destroy Twitter and burn it to the ground. All that will be left is an abandoned platform of 4chan level anarchy, insecure protections that gets hacked/leaks data, propaganda, racism and hate. In the following months he will probably turn it into another arm of their crypto scam, if it lasts that long. I made an account on Mastodon and that seems to be where a lot of professionals, techies, and journalists are opting to move over to. Good riddance!
Yeah there's no way twitter dies and nothing fills the vacuum left behind. It's gonna be real bad for a lot of people who will have to build their followings up again from scratch.

Because he's not actually a good business man or a smart. He took TESLA via a corporate takeover and had the government funnel $$ into SpaceX and TESLA to keep them afloat through all his bad choices and decisions. He just needs the US Govt to pump 20 billion into Twitter to keep it going and then he can turn around and show off how great he is at life and how he's never once even thought of asking for a single handout and worked his ass off, 28hrs per day, to make it to the top bebe.
Is it though? Isn't his TESLA stock tied up in the purchase and nuking all of Twitter would be a huge blow to his wealth? I think we might be giving him too much credit of being this mastermind of Twitters downfall when really....he's just a fucking shit businessman. This isn't 12D chess at playIt should be very clear at this point that Elon's intent is destroy Twitter and burn it to the ground.
Musk is nothing more than a smart Trump. It's why they like each other so much.

musk buying twitter has been hilarious, it's actually a win/win situation, he's either going to fix longstanding issues (lol) or drive it in the damn ground
In what way is he fixing longstanding issues?
i didn't say he was
I'm a product manager and I'd hate to work under him.
It is hilarious watching all of his employees trash him on Twitter and then get fired though I personally would keep quiet just to get that severance.
It really has been a most entertaining train wreck. Every day is a new terrible decision...I don't know how he keeps topping himself.
