Facebook/Meta has finally settled a class action lawsuit brought against them in the U.S. (a UK-based lawsuit is still ongoing) over the Cambridge Analytica scandal. Meta has agreed to pay $725M, but admit to no wrong doing and claim that FB users consented to their data being scraped. The settlement could be claimed by as many as 280M people. Final approval of the settlement won't happen until March 2, 2023 when a federal judge makes the decision.
