Maybe the Switch Pro itself can have limited functionality away from the dock while still streaming to the TV. Still a little off to play it with a pro controller in that case then.

I don't know if you remember how often that map is used and how much of it was touchscreen usage. It's gonna be tedious if its a menu opening
