Wii U was a fantastic upgrade to the Wii.
The name and marketing were awful and a lot of people didn't even realize it was a new console.

It looks and behaves like an entirely different concept. This at least looks like a new iteration of the device that came before it. Makes much more sense as a sequel compared to Wii -> Wii U

It added a new gimmick to what already existed.
Whereas Switch -> Switch 2 is just the same thing with more processing power. As a sequel, Wii -> Wii U was more exciting. Like I said, just wasn't marketed well.
Lol that’d be the biggest trolling.
I 100% agree with their direction in Switch 2. That’s how the video is marketed as well, basically Switch transforming into an ergonomically better device, better and bigger screen and more importantly stronger processing power. It looks and behaves like an entirely different concept. Switch was “the winning formula” in handheld world. Nothing, maybe except the early Game Boy’s and GBA came close to it. At this point you simply don’t mess with it. See:Apple, how old is iPhone now, 18 years old? Playstation is no different, ever since the original one the focal point is the gaming library, and the device is just getting better in terms of processing power and some updates on ergonomics. See how they even play super safe with the Dual Shock. They just tried to be a little adventurous with PS3 and boomerang style controller and eventually said “fuck it maybe not”
This looks really interesting from watching the video. I can't wait to see the official specs.

Pokemon Presents with the new Z-A info, coming late 2025:
Is Pokemon Champions them making VGC more accessible..?
Also kinda expected them to announce Gen 10. They're gonna hit three years in November, so unless they're saving the announcement for the Switch 2 reveal, it might be breaking the three year cycle.
Make a Switch 2-exclusive Pokémon MMO, sell 500 million units.

Can't wait for more crying about graphics and performance issues that don't matter because it's a turn based game.

The graphics look like shit.
Frame rate and graphical fidelity no longer matter when the combat isn't in real time?
Correct

Normally I'd say yes, but playing SaGa, Emerald Beyond on Switch for me was painful compared to PC and PS5.
Which wasn't the case for Scarlet Graces.
SMT5 for me where the game struggled to even hold 20fps in menus, and you could feel it with every input. I need to just start over on PC with that Vengeance re-release.
When you're talking about the highest grossing media franchise on the planet you should absolutely expect a top quality product.
a good game doesn’t require amazing graphics, but amazing graphics can absolutely enhance a good game.
Gamefreak finally broke from 20+ years of the same formula and made probably the best gameplay experience in the franchise in years and all everyone wanted to talk about was graphics that have nothing to do with gameplay and performance issues that have zero actual effect on gameplay because again it's a turn based game.
