Did they mention that 3D All Stars is just available for a limited time and not going to be for sale after that? Or just that there is a special version available during that time?

It is worded very poorly, and its possible JP to English translation didn't catch the nuance of the statement.

I took it as that *this* version, both physical and digital, will be available until the suggested deadline. Nintendo never really discounts 1st party titles, and to start randomly Disney vaulting them now just seems so bizarre.

I am guessing that they intend to add Galaxy 2 later for $4.99-9.99 DLC or whatever, but it will be digital only and maybe part of a holiday Switch bundle as a value add-in. Then at that time, they'll make the digital version have all 4 titles for the same retail price (effectively ending the original digital version) and those who bought physical will have the option to get Galaxy 2 digital at the DLC price.

It could also be, that since Galaxy was from my recollection literally the remains of Galaxy 1 upscaled and refined into a whole game that they are just not bothering with it. But ever since these Mario 35 rumors started Galaxy 2 was always hinted to not be included in the original collection and added in later.

I'll have to see if the new content is worth what'll probably be a full priced release of something I already owned and played on my WiiU. The Deluxe stuff in their other releases sure wasn't worth the ticket price. Hell I'm not sure if the 3d All-Stars is even worth CDN$80 asking price, especially with Galaxy 2 MIA.

I replayed it on my Gamecube a couple years back to 100%, and man, some aspects of that game I still don't like. Am hoping they 60fps it up and an option to skip the FMVs or something, rather than a straight boring port.

People are noticing that the sound effects and some smaller stuff in the Mario Sunshine section of the direct are different from retail, leading some to wonder if somehow Nintendo lost the retail build and rebuilt the E3 build into the whole game.

If so, maybe that also explains why Galaxy 2 is missing. Too much effort to rebuild it, where as it would kind of feel empty to have Mario 64 and Galaxy 1+2 in a 3D All Stars without Sunshine.

I never had much trouble with it when I did the replay. What annoyed me were the mission-specific blue coins that I eventually had to look up a guide for, the water-leaf minimap thing, and that one blooper surf trial.

To be fair when i was building R/C cars a good 10+ years ago as a hobby, a Tamiya or Kyosho kit for an electric R/C car normally went for $150-250 USD with a basic motor, for a faster motor you’d be spending another $60-100, and a good Radio another $80-120 and performance receiver/accelerator for $100?

For a gas powered R/C car, you’re likely looking at a $300-400 price tag for a car alone with basic gas engine.

God i miss building those, but yea it’s not too bad if you look at the long run.

Mario Sunshine gets some hate but I love it and it will be the first one of these that I replay. I needed a new game to play bad after this drought and all the new generation delays. Finally something to look forward to.
