According to the guidelines of my jury duty orientation, basic English is needed for the US citizenship exam and to serve on a jury. Which probably equates to 5th grade level English. So I guess we get fair trials if jurors don't understand half of what is being said.

Meanwhile I've recently been showing someone the classics that are the things that normally used to hook someone because despite her enjoying anime she's woefully devoid of experiencing almost any of the greats. Like recently we've been watching Bebop even though she's owned it for awhile lol. It's quite the dilemma though because a lot of new stuff to keep up with and share... but can't not share some older stuff. I should add FMA to the list... though I'm the kind that thinks both the original and brotherhood should be seen. Same with HxH
