The issue is that people forget some of this stuff done in humor was funny and acceptable back when it was made. That doesn't mean it is ok now but I question punishing people for behavior that was acceptable when it was done. I mean isn't the point that we can evolve and change? I definitely see the flip side to this but at least specific to comedians it seems strange to ruin careers for dirty or off putting jokes that were more easily digested when they were actually made.

When I was a kid it was acceptable to use the word gay as a pejorative for anything you didn't like along with retard or retarded and many others. Now as society and language changes those are not acceptable anymore and most people my age have dropped them from their daily vocabulary but if elementary, middle, and high schools were recorded in the late '80's early '90's then everyone in their 30's today would have their lives ruined.

I am at work so I didn't watch the video yet but there have been a couple of examples like this in the news lately so it got me thinking.

I don't see the problem with that video at all lol. No actual kids in the video. He's playing a part and calls the character a monster. It's absurdist humor, laugh or don't, but he was in no way condoning pedophilia any more than Bill Hader is condoning murder with Barry lol.
