The VRE ran today so I didn’t have to spend 3 hours driving to/from work. So I appreciate Biden’s support of the unions to be creative and flexible for the foreseeable future.
Based on your logic your mindset always rests in a "what if" sort of peril. Where even during the best of times the Dems losing spells peril for the existence of labor.
I will say this as simple as possible. You aren't listening. The Dems absolutely do not represent labor, do absolutely not fight for labor, and absolutely do not work to see the betterment of these workers instead of seeking to use them like pawns. You would have to twist yourself into knots just to try and defend them on this.
Flexible in this matter was "Hey, you do you, Joe the plumber, but don't go and strike. It might bring economic issues. I will go pick up my phone to avoid this."
All aboard killed.
Here's a weird coincidence..
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/dallas-...ircraft-texas/The B-17, an immense four-engine bomber, was a cornerstone of U.S. air power during World War II. The Kingcobra, a U.S. fighter plane, was used mostly by Soviet forces during the war.

Airshows (actually all types of flight in general) requires 100% flight discipline. What we call “airshow syndrome” is a mental state that should be avoided at all costs.
Too early to jump into conclusions and have to wait for the report first but there may be a violation of formation here costing lives. Sadly most of these happen tragically in front of family members.
Took the fucking tail right off. Poor pilots never stood a chance.
Lacking any flight recording data I don't know what an investigation could uncover?
Sheesh. Overheard in the last video is a kid saying "was that meant to happen"
Multiple eyewitnesses including pilots in the same group both airborne and on the ground, multiple videos, controlled airspace and constant comm., very good info on technical status of the airplane (extractable from transponder data, rate of descent, erratic flight pattern), full history of the pilots and all the mishaps and full access to the accident site… I believe investigators have all at hand for a very comprehensive and accurate accident report.

Mercedes is now taking subscription fees to an entirely new, maddening level. For new Mercedes EQ electric models, customers will have to pay a $1,200 (plus tax) yearly subscription to unlock the full performance potential of their cars.
If you head to Mercedes' online store, you will find an "Acceleration Increase" subscription service for all EQ models. According to Mercedes, the yearly fee increases the maximum horsepower and torque of the car, while also increasing overall performance. Acceleration from 0-60 mph is said to improve by 0.8-1.0 seconds and the overall characteristics of the electric motors are supposed to change as well. The extra performance is unlocked by selecting the Dynamic drive mode.
Normally cars come with or without these features and it is very difficult to add them up later on. With this I believe the manufacturers are going to standardize their production and build all cars with all extras and high engine power.
This is going to be costly to the manufacturers but they are confident that by giving customers the chance to unlock those features they’ll cover those costs and actually end up being very profitable.
I can imagine a lot of people would impulsively unlock the extra engine power maybe a year or two after their purchase, when they are in a good mood driving to their holiday destination. It’ll likely be seamless like an app store purchase. Same with heated seats, initially some will think they won’t need it but after a night out with a date in winter and ideally right after securing a promotion at work…Mercedes app > Unlock Heated Seats and viola!
Oh and I find this idea terrible but this is where we are going its only a matter of time. If all manufacturers follow the trend together this is going to make a looooooot of money for them.
“One month free trial of extra 50 hp and $49.99 a month after that.” god they are so going to boost their profits with this.
Naw, i'm not going to pay a sub for heated seats, and I don't plan on buying from a company trying to do so. It is fucking dumb to install the hardware and restrict the feature. Add it to the cost or don't fucking add it.
Implying they dont already charge some ridiculous labor costs to add said features at a later date.
If someone decides 5 years down the line they want heated seats, let them pay the almost-extortion level labor costs to have said heated seats installed at a later date if its so difficult.
Implying people en-masse will be buying these cars with all the subscription based features. Yeah, there are plenty of people with more money than brains, but I cant imagine the general population would buy a nice car to have long term just to have all the features locked down to the point a cheap Kia would be more luxurious.
Don’t get me wrong I’d hate a subscription ecosystem like above. Hopefully buyers will repel any attempt.
But companies will relentlessly push for it seeing how profitable it is for them.
Flashing back to people cheering about tractors getting hacked because Deere pulled this intentionally restricted UI shit.
Yup fuck Deere, i'm all for Right to Repair. Fuck this subscription bullshit too. This is like game content being locked behind where you preordered from back in the day. This is going to just give rise to a new hacker breed where we break the "DRM" bullshit on our vehicles in order to access features we should be entitled too for our purchase of a 50k fucking vehicle.
