Update on this is that in addition to fuel, hot asphalt and molten sulfur were also leaking into the river. A bridge had collapsed in the process of the derailment and a fiber optic cable was also cut that lead to a state-wide internet outage. Originally Posted by 6souls

it was a suicide apparently, as opposed to the last time this happened (woman in Alabama last December) where it was deemed unintentional and a safety breach by the jet operator
