"I'm sorry, who was you speech therapist, the Minions?"
I laughed so fucking hard I almost spilled my drink on the guy next to me.
Also, best opening sequence of any Marvel movie, hands down.
Anyone else get a special Deadpool and Wolverine silence your cell phones message before the movie?

$205 mil opening weekend. #8 all time. #1 R rated of course, obliterating Deadpool 1's record of 133~
Deadpool's finally gonna unseat Jesus Christ himself
"Deadpool & Wolverine has already outgrossed the entire theatrical run of The Marvels, in only 3 days."
Seen this posted on the FB, so not sure how accurate this is. But I believe it.
I think that may be correct, a quick Google says The Marvels made 206 mil domestic
Now they put themselves kind of in a creative corner where if DP is gonna appear in a future MCU movie that isn’t centered on him, or is a team up movie like Avengers, he’s gonna have to be toned down a bit for PG-13. They *could* use him in the more adult Disney+ stuff they planned like Echo but it seems like a waste to use budget for Ryan Reynolds just to put him on D+ instead of a theatrical release.
It would take some script planning, absolutely. I think its 2 'fucks' (or one if used sexually) for an R rating. They could go into creative descriptive land for his lines (a la cinnamon ring), cut him off after "fu--", subtitle it with *inaudible Deadpool noises*, etc.
Distilling some things I caught in the movie, because it is an absolutely fantastic bit of cinema and I cannot get any part of it out of my head. "Peak" is memed on and off, but this truly was Peak with a capital P.

I really hope they make Dafne Keen the new Wolverine for whatever X-Men plans they have. Can't see another person playing that role right now. Logan and Wolverine can be separate people as well.
That said, I hope the X-Men aren't a multiversal team in and of themselves if that makes sense. It's time to move on from these shenanigans and use it sparingly going forward, but for standalone movies vs "Avengers" level films it will just fit better having a collective group from one timeline, even if they originate from a timeline separate from the sacred timeline (kinda like what they're setting up for Fantastic 4).

Yeah I thought they made that clear with how Paradox took issue with the new way of doing things at the TVA
Fair points. I didn't catch that.
Did anyone notice
