After reading reviews and hearing about the movie... I went in with low expectations but I loved it. I think it is amazing. Loved every character and their relationship and I ended up wanting more. Movie is gorgeous and the fight scenes are freaking cool.
Critics are on crack.

Regarding the movie

The first 20-30 minutes felt a bit rushed to me. As such, I did feel like I didn't care about the characters enough to be emotionally invested when things happened to them. I did think Gemma Chan and Richard Madden killed it though. I ended up liking most of the characters except maybe Salma Hayek since she was in the movie for so little. There were also a lot of different themes in the movie that was touched on, but not forced that I really liked. Duty versus personal ideology(Ikarus versus Sersi), the omnipotence and importance of the Celestials(who are basically gods) versus the value of average people, the duality of humanity being creative and destructive, and probably more that I'm not remembering now.

Regarding the post credits scenes

The amount of excited gasps over Harry Styles in my theater was insane. Marvel made a really good casting choice there to get people interested. I didn't recognize the voice in the second scene with Kit Harrington. Chloe Zhao said it is Mahershala Ali/Blade though. Considering nothing has been said about Blade since Comic Con a few years ago, I am excited this means things are still moving forward on that front.

Also, good on Marvel/Disney for not changing Brian Tyree Henry's Phastos sexuality even if it got the movie banned in China.

Just finished the movie. Enjoyed it for the concept that it was. Feels like the purpose of the movie wasn't to just be another Marvel movie but moreso to get us to start thinking about the other presences that exist in the universe. I think one thing that the MCU does very well is make you cognizant that there's always something going on in the universe whether it's on Earth or outside of it. It's not just the big bad trying to take over the world. Sometimes it's a big bad that's trying to restore or change the order of how things are supposed to be. Conservatism vs Progressivism, when presented philosophically and in good faith, has always been a very interesting debate to me because there's really no right answer for it and looking at it absolutely in either direction typically just causes problems.

Finally saw this...I enjoyed it, middle of the pack movie for me. I dont get the hate.

I need to know more about the mid- and end-credit scenes though as I dont know anything about the characters shown/previewed/etc

Also, I'm a bit surprised they didnt have a Spider-Man 3 trailer beforehand as that movie is out in a month

The two-time Oscar-winning actor was announced in 2019 as the star of the MCU’s upcoming version of Blade the Vampire Slayer (he of the 1998-2004 Wesley Snipes films). According to Fandom’s Eric Goldman, Zhao told him, “That was the voice of one of my favorite superheroes, Mr. Blade himself. Blade, Blade, Blade, yeah!”
