Trailer is a big step up from the first for sure. I'm way out of the loop on who these villains are supposed to be, I'm sure there's some level of hype for them if you're in the know. Gonna go in blind and hopefully be pleasantly surprised

The only deviant in the comics ever really worth a damn was Thanos and he was from an off-shoot race where he was born from Eternals but has the appearance of a deviant.

Not that its too big of a reveal. The Celestials run experiments on planets, they seed life. The Eternals and Deviants are charged with watching over a planet but never interfering until the Celestials return. The Celestials return under to 'cleanse' planets, 'checkup/judge' planets, and sometimes they are just tired of the experiment. Earth's heroes killing Thanos would trigger a return of the Celestials, so also the reveal of the Eternals. It would also mean that the Deviants will see it as an opportunity to show - the Deviants have their own thing. Another thing to note is that Thanos is an Eternal and a Deviant. The Eternals of the comics sort fear Thanos so maybe that translates to the MCU. Either way just killing Thanos regardless of the Infinity War is a big deal. Ultimately the event is sort of the point in Earth's timeline where Earth becomes more important on the cosmic scale. Where Earth's heros and the kind of heroes that come of out of Earth are boosted, as when the Earth attracts a lot more cosmic attention.
