Though moma is A+
Still mad I never got those kraftwerk tickets.
Rent was my hs. F you people.
Actually, kinda sad in a way. My friend that passed was super into rent, but I never realized just how fucking badly he was until he passed. Like, I don't think he could ever move passed HS and since that was such a big thing with all of us, it was huge for him. He saw it several times. Was obsess with Idina Menzel.
I played my sims game recently, and had forgotten he made a character in the game. He made himself a teen that looked earily similar to Mark from the show.
We played him the music as they pulled the plug. ;;
jesus thanks for buzzkilling my fucking morning.
this is still no excuse for rent being bad
wait really? for what?
Don't recall. Doesn't matter.
true
it won like the second award of the night for makeup or costumes or some shit
i know because i made a joke “suicide squad currently has more oscars than la la land” when it happened
and yeah awards generally don’t mean shit
Iirc there’s been only....10? musicals that have won a Pulitzer, (I remember hearing about it when Hamilton got it).
I think it can be argued that Rent is not timeless anymore, but for 1996 that shit was huge.
