If it is an overwhelming amount and their are protections in place to keep executives from doing whatever they want with the money, I'm fine with it.

Speaking of Cruise Lines, let me tell everyone a story from our trip home. On our flight from Honolulu to DFW we were seated next to a young girl who apparently had worked on a cruise line in Australia. They had done a trip to Singapore right before everything went down, then quarantined on the ship for a couple of weeks as they made it back to Australia. Then did a short three day cruise around Australia (since Australia had then closed its ports to foreign cruises). After that cruise ended, and seven days passed, Australia announced it was closing its borders internally and from all international travel. The cruise line said that, instead of letting everyone return home, they would hold them on the ship for 30 days. The reason being, most of the ship crew's contracts were not up until May 1 and the cruise line did not want to have to pay to fly people back to Australia if they could begin sailing again in 30 days (since it wouldn't be May 1). A mass amount of the crew simply quit and had to find any way back home they could. This girl was from Oregon and basically had like 5 flights to find a way home.

75k to 99.9k is a decreasing benefit amount approaching 0. 100k/ind (200k/couple) is no benefit

Also unemployment benefits will have an extra $600/week tacked on through July (which is huge, means low-income workers are literally better off not working for 4 months). And supposedly contractors/gig workers will be able to access unemployment too, although those details are unclear.

Right. I mean, I see letters on someone's twitter. I'm waiting on an official statement or document released or something and finding out where I can apply to receive these benefits before getting my hopes up even 1%.

Of course states have to administer these benefits and they are already slammed with applications but unless the House changes this is looks like it's coming down the pike.
