Burned through my ticket stock; admittedly only a fraction of what I had for Star Ocean but 2 off-banner rainbows that I already had and 0 Estarks. I save my tickets just for limited time banners, why bother if I still don't get anything? Growing displeased with the game.

True, but I'd like to think there are events that not everyone has finished, esp since in the past Gumi has done things to warrant breaks from the game (looks at Sep 2017 slew of game breaking bugs).

Haha true though also kind of split on MK with the superior ffxi still up. Once that ends though....

DQ MK is actually really nice. Pull on the raid banner and get the Marquis for base 80% units. Don't forget, LMS is worth 3M exp so might be worth to pull and throw them at some 7*. The weapons are decent, Ribbon, the abilities (fixed damage can be useful). I'll set DL 6* for you (I'm pulling for 7*).

I'd actually advice against using LMS for that. Actually managed to pull 3 last time (but completely missed getting one of the 3*s somehow) and still regret it. It's kind of an amazing unit when you consider how high it's stats are without pots or gear that you can't put on it anyways lol. The 2 I have are still some of my best expedition units and the one I enhanced and gave Chows tmr is actually my best provoke tank.

Other note for those that missed it or don't remember the Dragonlord challenge BGN level is pretty awesome. Best rank xp to time in the game hands down and so far and above the best in terms of rank to nrg that only 1 story barely beats it during the 1/2 nrg events... while also being low enough that you can do some decent TMR farming doing it... also bringing Xon will net you 4.5k gil per 3 NRG run

I have 5 LMS from the previous run (and pulled three today). I do agree that they are amazing for explorations. Just throwing it out there for anyone who would rather 120 a 7*.

according to reddit, these banners are 1% on-banner, 2% off-banner rainbows. so that would be (napkin math) 200 pulls on average for a 7*, 400 for a STMR. seriously.


I mean, I really just don't understand it. Gumi fucks the players, the players riot, and Gumi responds by fucking us harder.

So this is going to be weird for me but this isn't really any different. This is normal for off/on banner Technically slightly better than the star ocean/Deus ones since they had multiple banner rainbows.

It's just that 7* makes this a whole new ball game especially with limited time units and is something that should be changed to accommodate that. Even more so with literal BiS STMRs from limited. And jp has like before the whole making rainbows be on banner and the ability to buy upgrade crystals with mixer points (and I believe there is another source. Seem to remember someone saying sometimes they replace blues on banner)... STMRs still kind of hard but actually doable at that point

They simply aren't changing anything from JP (for the better) so no surprise there. Deus Ex was GL exclusive and had a shitty step up for limited units so no excuse there.
Limited units are basically whale only for now, hopefully things change for Halloween/Christmas.

As the guy in the video last page said, our requirement and demand on resource has doubled in the 7* meta and our supply has stayed the same or worse. They shifted the entire dynamic of pulls with 7* so that a 6* is half a unit or worse in some cases and just give us resources like business as usual.

I kinda feel that since 7* are not required for content, Gumi is withholding 7* resources.

5* Base/6* Aren't required for content. Theres a guy on youtube/reddit who clears things with 3-4* Base units, the hardest stuff. I know you're not forgiving it but if that is their excuse its a terrible one.

Thing is I've seen a lot of those vids though maybe not just that guy and they often use limited gear/5* tmrs and/or content gear/materia that I'm not convinced they didn't originally get thru easier means. And even if you take the ones where that isn't the case it's like 1 guy who happens to have everything but that at the ready and sometimes the perfect combination of lower stat/strength units is better than good enough with stronger teams especially if you take a few tries and get the strat and team for strat down pat. And sometimes you can just cheese incredibly hard stuff (heyo 4* base soloing omega lol)

For example on say unforgivingly damaging content without a bunch of evasion gear/tmrs I don't have, 7* tanks or access to correctly geared RR cheese I'm gunna have a bad time without a friend to lend me said tank. Or for another example Avesta solo'd ffxi nms that would wipe entire alliances of players that weren't mouth breathers

And well content is getting harder so who knows how long the extreme budget play will last

The gentleman I'm talking about doesn't use 5* TMRs. IDK if its the same guy but I'll try and find a video. Regardless, its possible, 5* Bases just make it a lot easier.

Just like 7*, and considering Power creep is still coming hard and 6*'s are arguably getting way worse because kits are being designed with 7* in mind, we're progressing backwards. (- Can't find one, next time he posts I'll drag it here)
