What do you guys give this anniversary on a scale of 1 to 10? I give it about a 6 due to all the monumental fuck ups overshadowing anything particularly impressive.

Compared to last year, I think it's doing really well. The only thing I would think they should have done would be some players choice banner with a guaranteed 5* pull on them or something.

This years anniversary was underwhelming event wise but reward wise it felt excellent.

Except the bundles. The bundles were dog shit.

We are getting waaaaayyyy more freebies this anniversary compared to last year. For 1st anni specific events, there was hidden vault and kelsus summon. FFX and zarg landed during the 1st anni though, so that might make it seem like a good month... but I mean we're getting 7* and we got Raegen, A. Rain, and the SO Collab. There was some good QoL stuff that was added in an update before the 1st anni, that's for sure. We also just got 3.0, though I can't really gauge how to compare that update to the aforementioned one... I can't actually remember the 1st anni bundles, so I have no comparison in that regard.

Edit: TIL sTMR only requires 4 units, not 6/8 that were the initial announcement, makes me happier with this pull. Hopefully Olive's sTMR won't be poop.

Fohlen and 10 blues from my ticket. Did finish off a few more 3* base tmr I was close on. Getting to the point where there's only like 3 or 4 blues that I keep cause thr tmr is worth keeping more than 1 of. Rest I just sell. Used a few tickets and got the 40% attack materia guy so I was happy with that.

7* Ramza is a breaker though and a pretty good one as well, he really shouldn't compete with Nichol but if you have Lid or Loren he's bench material.

10+1 ticket got me Merc. Ramza, some other dupe, and Fryevia. Frye is STMR ready now.

They have been making it rain units. I swear half of my playtime lately has been merging cactuars or blues.


PS. Can we talk about how I'd probably be happier if cactaur merging wasn't exploitable?

For those who don't know:
* You have two cactaurs, one worth 2000kxp and one worth 100kxp
* If you use the 100k one as the base, merge in the 2000k one, and hit Great Success, you end up with a 100k+2000k*1.5 = 3100k cactaur
* If you use the 2000k one as the base, merge in the 100k one, and hit Great Success, you end up with a 2000k+100k*1.5 = 2150k cactaur

This means that you have to merge cactaurs one at a time to maximize yield, which pisses me off.
