Yeah but Tidus is not on this batchOrlandeau and Greg are and can chain (although Greg's locked behind his LB, hopefully they buff him). Quick Hit is still a niche family as well so I'm assuming most have at least a couple DR units making Oldman a better choice overall.
I will be able to make my Finals and Ramza 7* Friday. All have their TMRs done, but I don't feel I will use them much. Very annoyed at no Tidus as well. I have two of them 7* ready, both with TDH sets. Bastards
I pulled Marie this morning with my ticket. First one of her, so am happy to TMR her.
Oh I didn't see Gilgamesh in there, I can raise him to 7* right away as well. Most of the other ones I have 1 TMR for but would need to 100% a dupe before I felt ok fusing them.
DKC was also my first 5*, looks like he'll be my first 7* as well. So I get him and Greg from this batch, I'll have to work on everyone else. I haven't enhanced either of their abilities, should I do so before this batch releases?

7*s I have in this batch are: Lightning, D Cecil, Gilgamesh. I'll probably skip, but might do Lightning for fun. although as others have said, having to moogle up that TMR to unlock her full potential is just ugh
seriously, I think Lightning's TMR is the best possible example of "well it sounded good on paper." I can imagine intern-kun being like "she already dual wields! it's FOUR ATTACKS! that's insane!" no, intern-kun... just no.
Any info on luneth 7*? My priority atm is orlandu and ramza, but i have 3 luneth, and his stmr is really good, just need 1 more. Lol

Reagen #3 for me. It's a shame his STMR isn't a little better. You would think that with such low defense the attack boost would be 40+ but whatever. I guess with Raegen and Tidus STMR combined you're only 100% away from High Tide cap, and a lot of units have it in their kits.
Luneth becomes a chainer at 7 star. Idk what families he chains with though.
Edit: Or maybe that's the other Dark Knight Luneth character I was hearing about. Just looked up Luneth and yeah I don't see anything that stands out aside from his limit burst, which is pretty nice if you don't have a stronger imperil/defense breaker

If I understand this TMR thing correctly, if you're going for STMR you can have 1 of the 4 units at 0%, right? You get the moogle container from one unit the first time you fuse, so you can leave one of them at 0 and still get their TM eventually?
Yes. Note containers aren't units so can only be increased via trust moogles
Wait, no. You only get a container if you turn a unit into the material required to awaken your main to 7*. If you fuse for STMR you lose everything like normal fusion. The best approach to get STMRs is to awaken two units to 7* and then fuse one into the other. This way you only need one of them to 100% and keep the containers (it also counts as two awakenings for the future parameter missions).
How exactly does STMR progress work? I know the basic "need 4 copies of the 5* unit", but after that, what's the whole ordeal? The last time I saw numbers was when STMRs were first introduced in JP and there being something about "a 7* can only get to 50% STMR rate so you need two". I don't see anyone mentioning saving moogles for STMR, so I think I can safely assume that using moogles isn't a possibility. Do you have to naturally gain STMR rate on 7* units or something?

- there will be moogles, but they don't exist yet even in jp, and normal moogles don't work
- each 5~6* copy of a character fused into the 7* will give it 50% toward stmr
- each 7* copy of a character fused into the 7* will give it 100% toward stmr
^ as alkar said, there are missions in jp for how many 7*s you've made, so the best option is to just make two 7* characters and fuse one into the other
@dasva just keep in mind your characters may stop chaining if the boss dies. so best not to use chains if you can avoid it; I've lost points a few times because 2B chained the boss to death on her first attack and skipped the second entirely
