They cut 10 (with Olive and Gilgamesh replacing two). The list of "cut" units is: Ace, Rem, Queen, Trance Terra, Tidus, Aileen, Veritas of the Dark, Emperor, Onion Knight, Fohlen. JP had 20 units in batch 1 but slowed down later on with the other three.

I'm somewhere between indifferent and bleh. Not having a good 5* tank has felt like too much of a cockblock for me on harder stuff, and since I don't TM bot, things I have pretty much rely on what moogles I can acquire. Overall, it feels like more often than not, if I do pull a 5* on a banner, it won't be a banner unit, either. For now, the only unit I have 4 dupes of is VoF, and for all I've read on him, he's a pretty mediocre 7*. Nevermind not having the TMs to really make him shine because I never pulled the units. Put another way, I'll be relying heavily on UoC tickets just to get base 7* while trying to maintain my current chain combo of VoD and Orlandu with TT probably replacing Dragon Lord since I can 7* her. Still up shit creek on the tank front unless I really want to blow 2 tickets there, and that will hinge largely on how many we get.

The gil cost is still going to fuck me over either way. Assuming RL doesn't keep me tied up, I'm lucky to get 3m a turtle weekend on natural refresh.

I'm actually at the point where I feel I can tackle most (if not all) current/future content with the roster I have atm. I just need a dupe A.Rain and T.Terra to be "done" for what I want in teams. Now I'm eager to just pull on units for nostalgia reasons, which is really exciting for me lol. Shantotto II, Tifa, Jecht, Auron and a Randi re-run are the units I'm looking forward to now.

I mean I've had an A+ pool which has dwindled through power creep to a mediocre pool. I'm missing all the hot new staples: no TDH gear, no MS Nichol, etc. hell I only got Basch last week! but... I have four Beatrix, what else could I want? meta this and best unit that, I really don't care. the game should be fun, and for some people fun = spending a lot of money or hoarding for the best units. for me? it's having four god damn Beatrixes

So I must be riding a hot streak right now. I got Rena with a 4 star ticket trying to get a materia, Merc Ramza #2 from daily yesterday, and Fayt from a 4 star today while trying for the materia again. So what I'm saying is, I'm blowing all my Hyou luck right now.

He was part of the last batch in JP. Considering our first batch had significantly less units, it's possible it'll be dragged out a few extra months compared to JP being done in 3 months. Gilgamesh was also moved up two batches compared to JP though, so perhaps there will be some others that get swapped around. Offhand, we're missing these from the first JP batch:

At least for JP, they were released ~1 month apart. Whether we keep that schedule or not, who knows. Unit lists could shrink or grow as well, making it take 3 months or 4+ months.

Oh I meant I thought TT and Tidus were supposed to be in GL batch one? Idk forget where I read that

Nah, people just assumed they would be there because of JP's batches. They could just make the missing units batch two, slap in another GLEX or two, and continue on.

I'm guessing we'll have four with one GLEX in each so Olive>Fryevia>Reberta>Zargabro. Seasonal units will have to wait for their events sadly (and probably all share the same banner for some fun times).

Getting a third Fayt bothers me the most because with a 50/50 chance of getting either of them from an on-banner rainbow, you'd think with 3 I'd see her once.

Why? The only use would be for a healer and they're better off DW staff or using Genji for death ward. DPS never use shields and the other tanks have their own shield TMRs.
