I think I messed up the 50% moogle; converted converted 2 lightnings, instead of converting one and fusing the other into the 7, whoops.

You can still get it but you need one more dupe and awaken it to 7*.

Yeah it's just cost you having to get and level that other lighning to 100 and then spending 3 mil to awaken it. But hey now you get another mog container for Lightning to toss... silver linings

I borrowed someone's 2.1k Olive and had a hearty MUWAHAHA against the raid boss chaining a 60m hit in. Kind of regretting dumping my cactuars into Dark Fina first, though. All she's got going for her for me at the moment is being a chainer with other tornado or quake users, while DL was a much better finisher. But I was also trying to forward think a bit for VoD's 7* and synergizing there. Also slogged out Lightning's TM, but she's just base 7* and won't be leveled until the weekend once they put EXP farming up.

I took 2 Olives and for shits and giggles did a 40% break and chained 2 Immolations together. Chain 1 60M total damage lol.

Each dupe gives you 50% STMR unless it's another 7* unit. If he awakens another Lightning to 7* and then fuse into his main one he gets the STMR immediatly.

Not sure where you get 75% for 2 dupes but it's 50 each. Literally only benefit of fusing a 7* instead of 2 5*s is the extra container... well unless you have a 5th and want to use them all to get to STMR

Sounds like he had 3 Lightning and converted 2 of them. If that's the case he doesn't have a dupe. If he has 4 then he hasn't missed the moogle or the STMR at all, fusing a dupe regardless of rarity gives the moogle. In fact, he's only missed out on 3mil gil, but gained an awakening towards adv quest.

Edit: I meant 50%, not 75%, sorry. To further clarify, the awakening material is not a dupe anymore, and can't be fused for STMR unless you use it to awaken a level 100 unit.

not entirely true, there are missions for how many 7*s you've created. so that and the container mean it's recommended to use duplicate 7*s for STMR unless you are short on gil (or XP I guess, you need two maxed out 6*s to get two 7*s, but that's a pithy amount of xp at this point).


also I think I'm holding off on Lighting for the moment. I forgot that I have other units coming soon that need TMRs; units that are not only more useful but also have better TMRs. One more Beatrix, Ayaka, Trance Terra, that's three off the bat and I only have 400% in moogles. like to keep at least 100% sitting around in case of emergency Cloud/Elfreeda pull or something on that level of awesome

What I'm saying is that he actually COULD get the moogle without leveling another dupe and awakening it, he'd just lose out on the STMR if he did it, because he'd be stuck at 50% with a leftover awakening stone and 3million in the bank. Thus, leveling the dupe gets him more than just a shitty container.

In jp. Not in GL. When/if it gets implemented we will have to judge based on how many it is and the rewards and how many others you can awaken really. I mean if it was an actual useful TMR sure but that gil and xp aint nothing.

Ah see there's the confusion given the flow of the conversation about 2 different methods to STMR and it looked like you were responding to me and the over 50% thing and well why wouldn't you go for STMR I kind of glazed over you meant actually not going for TMR at all.

I look at the true silver lining as saving myself from dumping moogles to immediately level Lightning’s TMR.

I was evil and fused my 3rd Olive into her 7* for that 50% moogle so I could then get Prishe's Hairpin for Olive. My Olive is sitting at 117 with 17kish ATK. She sadly is rocking a hyper wrist, so I need to look at the bomb trial to try and get that ring.

Also she is stuck at +1 True Shot and Heavy Arms and Mortar until next Story Dungeon (Connection issues screwed me on farming last story Dungeon).
