It's still not that big of a difference when characters will hit 2k+ ATK regardless. I'm not arguing Revolver is BiS but it's also not trash. If Erdrick's Sword was ok at 120k then Revolver is also ok at 100k.

Anyone with TDH setups is either incredibly lucky or a whale though. Revolver is amazing for those that aren't and is only 5 ATK less than the Saw, it's really not that big of a difference. It was only 88 ATK in JP so the buff was actually +37 ATK which is impressive.

I think was saying anyone who did that step up banner got enough Conrads to make a revolving saw which it did. A step up that made getting at least a decent dent into TDH setups pretty easy without being lucky or a whale.

And Edrick's being 1 handed means it's slightly lower atk will have an even smaller effect on dmg than a TDH sword (not to mention the ones that have higher atk 4/5* TMRs so less likely to have).

Though anyone going for a TDH greatsword setup that has the other stuff would probably be doing this stepup/banner for Squall

My olive isn't enhanced so idk if she could one shot the boss without a break. I really haven't enhanced many units apart from WoL and Marie. I've got the mats to do it but finishers aren't really needed for things. Hoarding for units that I do use to get enhanced.

I have one set of tdh. Got 2 elfreeda's chasing cloud way back when and got a cloud a few weeks after that. Now in have a 2nd cloud I don't know if I should get.


Tried olive with no breaks, nope she can't one shot the boss without em.

I'm not saying it's a trash sword, I'm saying it's an OK sword being sold as TMR level value. You could conceivably make much better use of the machine killer sword that's being sold for 15k or w/e.

Hell, I'm not even saying I won't get it, just that it's super low on my list because it seems pretty overpriced.

Probably gunna get that myself. Forever saddened that despite pulling quite a lot on that banner (enough to get a DL, 3 LMS, 2 Orochi, a merry men's worth of robbin oods) I got not a single killing machine or golem

Wouldn't those people be better off dual wielding? I can't remember the last MK that had dual wield though I have 3 from them this year so can't have been too long ago

Tbf chainers aren't really needed either... but it's nice to pair them together to cheese thru some stuff. And Olive at least right now works pretty well even without finishing per se and well they great for Raids until they fix the stupid thing

Defend my position? Why should I need to do that? I don't think the sword is a good deal, said as much literally one sentence later. If you want to get it, cool. If my opinion on whether it's a good purchase bothers you, don't know what to tell you lol. I bet Sath and Eanae would prefer paying 50k for it instead of 100k too when suddenly capped cactuars are another expensive but very useful item to add to the list.

Edit: Speaking of cactuars, I'm sure I'm being totally neurotic, but does anyone else feel like Dunes has sort of taken a dive in rewards suddenly? I've been farming it all weekend and have been consistently getting crap like 2x giga 1x king. I feel like for a while there it was giving crazy stuff like 3x giga 6x king on lucky runs.

I usually tinker with units to max damage the first day or two. Since then I'm taking Xon for gil, olive for smash, and a unitwith 4x XP gear so I don't waste as many cactuars.

I have two TDH sets. My units who will use the TDH sets will be using their own TMRs. I have chainsaw. Literally no reason to buy the shitty, trash, OK, pretty good sword from MK. Complete lack of bonus mobs this weekend would have brought me to the same conclusion regardless.

The people who could really use that sword aren't going to be doing LGD with full bonus units (and likely wont even have the over 600% I'm sure he has) and getting that many extra monsters isn't exactly common. Like so far I've only done a limited number of LGD runs ~20 and just got my first set of extra monsters. Still only got ~20k with +700% from bonus units

I've gotten bonus mobs around 50% of the time so far. Might just be bad luck. Running only 425% bonus though.

idk 5% to 50% is a bit more than just 1 sides luck. Maybe a combination of both being their respective ends of the curve. Luckily I'm running 500% from myself and stacked my friendlist with 7* rinoas/squalls for another 200% so it's still decent even if I'm almost never getting bonus mobs. Still that sword be way on my list of priorities probably right under 540 awakening materials.

Speaking of overcosted stuff why do crysts still cost so much with newer story events letting you pick which crysts to go after with p good droprates!?!
