My cousin wanted to thank all the guys that added him recently! It helped him a lot to get started and get some of the KM items he needed as well as grinding out the star ocean raid while he could.

I'm late to the party but if your cousin wants to add me I can toss pmuch any unit full evasion to help out with some trials. Code is 229,218,725

The majority of the playerbase is f2p meaning they can't afford full steps to get guaranteed banner rainbows, that alone reduces the interest in any pure lapis option because the other steps don't offer much value at all. Also the total lack of information+ the confirmation of 1% moogles simply reduced interest in the free dailies as well. I've seen many assume that it would result in more pulls than the 10+1 on average but that's assuming tickets would have the same rates as 1% moogles and I'm 100% sure they wouldn't have lol.

Yes they can they just can't do it all. And yes they do.

1) First step up we've had was according to the wiki started 5-24 with the Sephi/Lili so we'll use that as a starting point since can't really expect people to save up prior to that. Since then we've 25k TDH (which came a bit too close for most f2p people), the 2nd anniversary ones (which were 13k), Raegen 11k, and Squall 25k. So assuming single laps 74k over a little over 3 months time. Shit's all broken up but we've averaged about 17k lapis a month (with July being extra generous) so if you started saving when first step up happened till end of current one not counting doing some older things you couldn't before be about 51k. So basically if you'd saved and had 1k to begin with you could do a single lap of 1 of the 25ks, Raegans, and all 3 of the 2nd anniversaries. Should not even if you do dailies everyday you're still almost saving enough to a full 25k every ~2.5 months

2) In terms of rainbows not counting the trusts (or the slight gain in value from being able to throw the tickets at other banners) for the 25k step ups beat daily 1/2 pulls on steps 3 and 5 and is pretty close on step 4. On the 13k it was just slightly worse on step 2 and decently better on 3. For the 11k Ragen banner it was similar to the 25k where better on 3rd and 5th slightly worse on 4th. Note all the close ones completely destroy regular as well as regular 10+1 pulls. To put it into perspective in similar terms this 4 10k+ pulls will net you as many rainbows as 11k worth of dailies while we were told the raffle would average about 15k which would get us to the 3rd step of any step up which beats daily values


As far as the info I get that which is why I'd understand the vote splitting... my issue is the 10+1 had over 50% of the votes. On the daily one I guess you could think we wouldn't get much tickets but it seems rather overly pessimistic to assume that out of the 4 potentials extras with the daily that we'd overwhelming the worst one most the time. Like assuming most of them would be trusts AND that most those trusts would be 1% seems bad even for Gumi.

Not super excited for 4 golds and 40 blues with those 10+1 tickets. I can see why people voted for it. Kinda surprised that the daily with ticket and trust wasnt closer. Was a bit of a blowout.

There is also the fact that the majority of players don't visit Reddit and are extremely casual, so to the uninformed and new players, that 10+1 seems the best option.

Pulled gilgamesh #8 from the daily 1/2 off, still pretty much all blues from the 5* (maybe 1 yellow? all shit, whatever it was).

On one of the days we got an EX ticket I pulled back-to-back rainbows from that and the 5%, so I have gotten 1 from the banner.

So I'm an idiot apparently, heard about the magnification trick for QH and thought it would be too much a pain to do.... Till just now I learned all you have to do is turn it on and profit.....

Thank God I learned this before I went back to using QH chains.

Daily rainbow > Queen #2. Too bad I already have 7* Lightning to chain with TDH 7* Tidus, but at least her 7* can be a lightning QH chain buddy for Lightning.

Free pull was Gladiolus #1, 1/2 off Tidus #5. Yesterday I used a 4* ticket and got Nalu #3 and a 10% moogle. I'm hoping for a 4th Nalu, because she can chain with herself until Tidus 7* awakening, and after that her STMR is great for lightning chaining with any TDH chainers even if you have to equip a materia to use spears. It's a shame she doesn't have any kind of W ability, because her sprite is 10/10. There's still enhancements though.
