I did 2 laps on the step-up (guaranteed rainbows seem a good bargain overall), plus a couple standalone 10+1's. So that's like 10 pulls overall. Some were pure garbage, and a couple were double rainbows.

Today's 5% rainbow was actually a rainbow: Wilhelm! He's the only 7* I was missing out of the first batch. Finally!

Well, no Nichol for me, so I'd more or less be Fina for Resists/PATK. If I don't need Lid, I could probably insert an alternative MAG buffer in her place, I guess. Just honestly unsure how quickly I'd take out the babies and I hate these fights being so high energy when I'd be more keen on experimenting otherwise.

Well if you had everything else I could share a Nichol. He's p good being able to resist and stat buff same turn or give mitigation or restore mp or give Lb crysts (assuming doing an LB method)

Based on your results looks like the standalones were from the 7* banner so doing the math 2 full laps + 2 10+1s should average 6.1 rainbows... so with those 8 ya dun good

If the datamine turns out to be true (and they don't change things with upcoming patches) that may not be possible right away. Not to mention 1 copy is pretty much useless.

No Olive, either. Based on a couple failed attempts, it's looking more like I have to do this the "hard way" if at all right now. Between my DF and Barb and a 2150+ Olive, I needed 3 turns to kill the babies, then doing maybe 40-45% to the weakened boss. At this point, reapplying Fina's buffs makes her curing LMS impossible and occasionally he got 1-rounded for me via Illusionist Nichol diverting attacks to him, anyway. Sometimes Barb would wind up randomly KO'd on later stages, too, and keeping her alive with buffs down just wasn't working. Tried a fight where I swapped LMS for my 7.5k HP WoL and IN for Marie to take buff duties off Fina, but WoL would still get gibbed on bad physical rounds, too.

Just gonna chalk this up to the curse of my bad RNG and not TM botting for now.

What do you mean by correct? Those are the 7* units in JP yes but some of them may never come to GL (mostly the collab units, Santa Roselia and Rubicante). Also GL will have changes for some 7*s so you can't rely on it too much.

A lot of it is it gets worse once you let it get to turn 4. So can't waste time on babies which is why single olive might not be the best since it aoe is a cooldown move but 2 can kill in 2 turns and why Ang is great for long term repeated AoE dmg. If you plan on going longer you need to take extra steps for survivability. Also why nichol is pretty great since in a single turn can give resistance buff stats and give enough regeneration to keep you topped off

Freebie daily was Balthier. First step got me dkc #3. 2nd step got my double fucking Marie, then did a rage pull and got big daddy Wilhelm. Almost threw my phone when I saw back to back Marie. Only upside is I can get her stmr now.

Best way to get a stmr is to fuse a 2nd 7* into a main 7* correct? Debating how to get Marie's stmr. Love the huge stat boost from 6 to 7*. If I don't need a 2nd shield of the empire I can just sell the moogle container I got converting the 2nd Wilhelm right?

Going forward with new 7* units I've determined the fastest way to get them from 6*-STMR without sacrificing any potential TMRs is to get one that you won't use to 100%, and then raise two 6*s to 7* (getting 2 Moogle containers in the process). After that, fuse the 100% unit into the 0% unit instead of the other way around and you'll be able to TM that unit like normal, so you'll still be able to get 4 total. I wouldn't do it with most of anyone I have now because I've already potted out the majority of any that I already have TM'd as well.

There is no single best. That method potentially gives more containers and get credit which may or may not matter is all at the cost of leveling and awakening. Basically do you really need all 4 of those TMRs or not? And yes if you don't want a 2nd shield you can sell the containers.
