Wow, there is now like literally no reason to buy their new console....what a disaster. Sony is going to obliterate them, again.

Halo is like the literal only thing 343 develops anymore. They had to be among the very first with DEV kits or information. How in fuck are they this behind and off with this game? They need to scrap the garbage Xbox One version and deliver a proper next-gen title.

Every other big game in holiday 2020 is also gonna be in the current gen as well afaik

Spiderman also isn't brand new from the ground up. Cheating! But I guess ps5 has spiderman.

Xbox has game pass tho, and xcloud. Up to them to make that enough at launch though.

As for console only Spider-Man. As for only coming to PS5 but also has a PC version - Godfall, Deathloop, Bugsnax, The Pathless, & JETT: The Far Shore.

New engine, creative director leaving the project half way through development, COVID-19, delayed features etc.

Jason Schreier Already hinting the game is in a really bad shape from his twitter.

Modern delay announcements often include a line like "the well-being of our team" but as I've reported a few times in the past, I've never heard of an AAA delay leading to *less* crunch. Internally, the messaging is "OK guys let's keep pushing, gotta keep this momentum going"

You don’t really need his hints to conclude the game is in bad shape. The leaks were right on everything so far and the gameplay reveal was terrible. The part where he is going up the elevator, with the classic music, was obviously supposed to be the big “goosebumps” moment, but it did the opposite with how bad it looked and ran.

The only thing his tweet hints at is that they are working extra hours, which is entirely normal. If you have a client deadline approaching and fall behind, it’s obvious you have to work more. This isn’t unique in any way to the gaming industry.

Edit: I thought the first quote was someone him asking a question, but if they are both his then I guess he is also hinting that things are even worse than they came off in the demo. Aligning with the leaks, I’ll conclude multiplayer literally wasn’t going to make launch and they decided that obviously isn’t acceptable given Halo is about multiplayer.

I'd imagine the average gamer wouldn't notice the difference between upscaled 720p or 900p

Idgi, just do 720 or 900, tout xcloud for 1080 with slight lag, or buy the next gen console. This is exactly what theyre making new machines for, the old ones are weak as shit. Cant believe they're struggling with this god damn

Some of the well-known Gaf mods doubled down on this rumor, so even if they are denying it now, it was at least discussed in meeting recently is my guess.

Microsoft has brought in Joseph Staten in to help with development as the new senior lead on Halo Infinite. He was with Bungie, originally, during the Halo golden days. This means the release is likely going to be well into 2021.

I was at the Costco Business Center (restaurant supply) and they had the new Monster Energy cans. There is a 2x exp campaign that went to print before the delay was announced.

Guess Halo is gonna be a dead IP after this failed launch...here's hoping they somehow turn it around...
