anyone playing this on PC? considering grabbing it there once i buy but my hardware is getting up there in age (i5-4460/gtx970). how forgiving is this one on requirements/specs?
I'm playing on PC with i7-7700k/GTX950. It has noticeable chugs during some cut scenes and textures could be better but gameplay has been seamless. I actually am looking at getting a new GPU but having difficulty making a decision what is good card to get that would be a good buy for longevity without breaking bank? (x080's lol)
Looks like Sony censored a scene on ps4 lol.
Japan can't handle violence and we can't handle sex, get your shit together world.
Anyway I'm about half way through and I'm very impressed by almost everything EXCEPT fucking auto assist why the fuck is it hard mapped to L3 I fucking hate it. Stop fucking my score over because auto assist accidentally turned on while I'm doing some shit.
Like who thought it was a good idea to have it hard mapped to the controller instead of just being an option you can turn on literally any time in the options menu.
edit: looks like it's tied to your camera reset trigger, so you can move it to L3 (which kinda sucks in a different way but is less triggering for me lol).

Just beat it (first time) and I'd definitely put it up as best DMC game. Basically everything you loved about 3 and 4 plus new stuff.

Dr Faust is fucking hilarious when used correctly

Finished this and started on SoS mode and I have to say this is easily one of my favourite DMC games ever.

So yeah, if you like DMC (especially 1 and 3) you'll definitely like this. Amazing gameplay (turbo mode tho...), solid missions/bosses, great music and a fun story.
Finished the game, game was absolutely perfect, everything i wanted in a DMC game.
Game checks off pretty much every box. Well worth the money. Only thing missing for me is
Spoiler: show
But that will probably come with a DLC so, pretty much perfect to me. Well worth the wait.

The 2007 DMC Anime is available for free on PSN in celebration of DMC5.
So hey. Throwing a debate out here into the wind. Don't really want to hear from randos about it, but BG is fam so lets do it. I am very much against the bullshit microtransactions making their way into singleplayer, and I'm semi annoyed that this game isn't getting any heat for it. From what I can see, it is the literal definition of pay-to-win. You buy abilities faster than normal, and infinite "retrys" if you die. Doesn't get any more blatant, to be honest.
Anyone have any opinions? If this happened in multiplayer, it'd be destroyed. Hell people damn near riot if cosmetics are priced too highly. Why are people letting it go here?
I love DMC, but couldn't support this release. I'll be buying it secondhand sometime down the line to SSStick it to the man (which if anyone wants to sell me their PS4 copy I'm down lol).
for single player? i couldnt give less of a fuck if someone pays to do something i did for free lol
If the game was restricting the amount of red orbs you earn to force people into the micro-transactions sure, but progression feels the same as other games and you can completely ignore them.
You can completely ignore other peoples cosmetics in multiplayer games too. Whats the difference? Why is "that guy paid a ton to look cooler than me" an outrage, but "that guy paid to revive infinitely and unlock all my abilities" fine because its single player?
I'd obviously ignore them, but don't understand the principle.
Micro transactions for cosmetics or for single player shit is whatever, buying power in multiplayer games and games that have bs things like stamina that you can pay to refill are pure cancer, but yeah if people wanna buy shit in a single player game that doesn’t affect me idc.
people that care about paying for cosmetics confuse me too so i dunno
