So much delusion everywhere. Saw a tweet comparing this to Ghost of Tsushima (basically saying that a PS4 game looked better) and someone said you can't compare them because GoT is a LINEAR game. Wanted to just throw my phone when I saw that.

I have no dog in this fight, I haven't played a Bethesda rpg since Oblivion and generally don't like their games, but the criticism I've seen of this game is hilarious. Are there actually motherfuckers out there that want 1000 Barren landscapes to explore with nothing in them?

Even if it sucks mods will likely make it playable over time since it's still running off the same engine modders have a decade+ of experience with.

Fallout 4 was pretty ass but I still think I ended with nearly 200 hours of playtime due to being moddable

But the tidbits getting leaked out ahead of the embargo are all encouraging. The big question is performance on PC, which from what's made its way online so far seems to imply the game is very CPU heavy, but overall not too badly optimized.

so far seems to imply the game is very CPU heavy, but overall not too badly optimized.

I figure there being no 60fps mode on XSX would confirm that. I'm curious to see how the game looks/performs on my 6gb 1060gtx though, since it's under the min spec (1070 TI), given a lot of modern games look like fucking trash on low settings (especially with regards to texture settings, since streaming textures is a lost art now apparently), as if it were a 360/PS3 game instead of previous-gen.

It's an AMD sponsored game with no DLSS or XeSS so expect the CPU bottleneck to be real and unmitigated. But hey maybe it'll play nice with 3D cache

It would have been a prime target for showcasing FSR3, but I guess the release window doesn't match up. Maybe something post-release for people that don't mind frame generation bs.

Sounds like it has a weak story, but great gameplay. Dropping after Baulder's Gate 3 will hurt it for RPG fans.

Wow that PC gamer score must be quite the blow after doling out it's highest score in like 20 years for BG3.

BG3 is not without its problems.

I'm not comparing the 2 by any means. They're 2 hugely different types of games for different people (or the same!) BGS games are not really my cup of tea, but if people love them and get hundreds of hours of entertainment out of them. I'm all for whatever brings you enjoyment. Comparing 2 different types of games is dumb. Just let people like what they like.

I will probably check this out down the line, on a sale or something. But it's nowhere close for a day 1 buy for me.

From the reviews concerning PC performance seems like my laptop is going to be able to comfortably stay over 60 fps on max settings, pretty much all I was worried about.
