Reduces the color grading but doesn't get rid of entirely like that one does. Completely removing the coloring kills the vibe on a bunch of planets.
The FG Mod got an update and has also been cracked. The FG part is still causing crashes for me sadly.
idk why they'd bother cracking it. it'll be made public once the bugs are fixed
havent had any instability myself tho
My understanding is that the while the DLSS2 one is free, I think the FG one is gonna be forever locked behind a pateron paywall like every other FG mod they've done.
Someone else whipped up a frame generation mod, no paywall

Welp, looks like I broke my game already… installed vortex + DLSS and now the game won’t launch.
Did a uninstall/reinstall… nada
29 hours in and I find out you can get shouts like Skyrim.
Fun
I haven't hit up too many of the faction questlines so far other than getting enlisted to go undercover with the Crimson Fleet. The amount of sidequests in this game is absolutely ridiculous. I was doing the chain with the miners on Mars for awhile (though tbf that quest mostly took so long due to the amount of walking involved)
The main story is taking me to Neon so probably gonna start hitting up Ryujin stuff once I'm there.
Game crashes every time I enter the lodge. Just can't handle that load.
came across this little moment the other day and loved the world building. nascent space exploration operating as a metaphor for Age of Exploration sailing / piracy is an old and effective metaphor, but think this is the first time in all my Expanse reading, Star Wars / Trek / BSG / Firefly watching, Mass Effect playing i've seen sea shanties represented in space shanties. well played Bethesda.
Also mid conversation with quest NPC's.
I'm reading that the game's shadows and Ambient Occulusion also wrecks havoc with AMD cards.
There is a mod for it, but they can also be turned off in the settings.

Finished the download for it a couple nights ago on my slow net, but have been busy. Few hours in now, and man I wish there was a way to have it where only your tracked mission shows when running around, but the galaxy map always showed all your currently accepted objectives. Still getting a feel for the economy (to avoid being a packrat of useless trinkets to sell like I always do in these games), but I'm liking it thus far for what I was always expecting to just be Skryim-in-Space. Definitely has a different feel in that I'm not getting too personal with a lot of the locations since you're hopping planets pretty frequently, vs. there being the one singular outdoor map like in previous games.
Echoing the same complaints about the UI layouts being nested menus in nested menus though, coupled with a hold-to-Exit bind which feels like crap on keyboard.
Game runs a fairly stable 30fps at 1080p/75%-scale/mostly-medium settings on my old 6gb 1060gtx, which is better than I was expecting. The differences between low/medium/high on some of these I can barely notice at this resolution (with the upscaling shit), so that's fortunate for me.
On mission screen press V, that toggles all objectives or just your active quest.
Playing on my gtx1080 here, game is running better then I expected (only 1 crash so far in like 10 hours). I am using this mod which seems to be helping the performance, and I also followed the graphical recommendations from this video to help make the game look... as good as it could on a 1080(lol) and have a decent enough FPS
Using that mod (which changes ultra/high/etc settings to different values) and then changing off those settings anyways is redundant.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it's been working, so whatever lol
The mod changes the values for low, med, high and ultra options, all 4, so I would imagine me starting at medium and switching to low for certain options and high for others for example would still have an impact, wouldn't it?
Like, it's not an all or nothing kind of mod, it's changing the specific values of the specific graphical options to make them easier on lower end GPU's. So how would tweaking those modified values even further to find a more specific setup that runs smoother on top of that make it redundant?
I'm not trying to be crass here, I'm genuinely asking how you came to your conclusion
lol
