Melania is back in Texas to visit the kids in cages. Nothing controversial, kids were subdued watching a subbed version of Ferdinand on mute, and she had a meeting with a local rancher who wanted fencing and new roads on his property but not if it's going to hurt trade.
Trump on the new Foxconn plant - "The 8th wonder of the world"https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-g...n-live-stream/At that rate it would take the state 25 years to break even on its investment, the bureau calculated. In other words, each job Foxconn has promised to create costs the taxpayers $263,000. The company has said at least 13,000 direct jobs would be created, paying an average of $53,000 a year.
"As Foxconn has discovered there is no better place to build, hire, and grow than right here in the United States," Mr. Trump said.
The new plant is, the Associated Press points out, just 30 miles away from Harley-Davidson, which announced this week that it would move production of some of its motorcycles overseas in order to avoid new tariffs. The president, who tweeted his displeasure about the announcement, addressed Harley-Davidson from the podium at Foxconn.
"We want to tell by the way Harley-Davidson please build those beautiful motorcycles in the USA, please, okay? Don't get cute with us. Don't get cute," Mr. Trump admonished.
The president also took the opportunity to talk about his re-election campaign, telling the audience that his slogan, "Make America great again" is going to be changed to "Keep America great." And he railed against the "elite." "These people, they call them 'the elite,' these people, I look at them -- I say, 'That's elite?' We got more money. We got more brains. We got better houses, apartments. We got nicer boats," Mr. Trump exclaimed. "We're smarter than they are, and they say, 'the elite.' We're the elite. You're the elite."

Justice Kennedy's son works at Duetsch bank and has Trumps kid as a client.Trump’s hidden back channel to Justice Kennedy: Their kids
that's pretty weak tea, Kennedy is 81 and has hinted at retirement for several terms now. if anything the selection of Gorsuch, who was a former clerk of Kennedy's + voted with him 82% of the time in their term together, made Kennedy feel comfortable about allowing Trump to pick his replacement, and not some silly Jonesian German banking cabal.
Yes, it is a bit weak but the timing couldn't be any more coincidental with the investigation. Some are saying it may be more of a recusal then a retirement.
It's just a hot take. There would be articles about it if Kennedy had tea and crumpets one time with Jared Kushner's third cousin's best friend. Dem clicks tho.

Trump's proposed 1040 "postcard" tax form has been leaked. 23 fewer lines, but will take multiple pages for itemized deductions. Still needs to be sent in an envelope unless you don't care about your SSN & personal details being exposed. Will make filing easier for preparers, but doesn't affect online filers. Will become more complicated for select people who claim deductions or collect alimony as more worksheets will need to be filed.
So it increases the likelihood of mistakes and information fuck-ups. Got it.
