Had a fucked up nightmare that I had an internal affairs investigation open on me and also had a leg cramp that woke me out of a dead sleep. I kicked so hard due to said leg cramp I actually pulled a muscle slightly.
I also feel so fucking groggy and delirious in between sleep right now I feel like I took medication but I never did..

New mouse yay. Except it's one of those tiny ones for people with small hands and even after adjusting it it's still super sensitive
What kind of mouse? I have smol hands :3
Spent my only day off yesterday going out to a favorite sushi spot that I haven't been to in months. First thing I noticed was one of those signs posted about ownership changes pending. This took me by surprise because it's always been family run.
Walk inside and its absolutely dead , even on weekdays this place for the last 7 years has always been bustling. I then noticed I didn't recognize any of the servers or hostesses who always remembered me. The food quality has taken a massive dive and while not bad it wasn't what I had come to expect. Needless to say I'll never be back and I'm sad about it.

While it probably won't mean anything maybe say something to management? We rarely complain when out to eat but if it's significant we for sure do. Case in point when we were out of town at this fusion spot and I ordered Dolset Bibimbap. I'm expecting my bowl of veggies rice and beef. Instead I get a "deconstructed" version. I was not thrilled.
Honestly I have before when it was under other management as out of many return trips one was particularly off. I didn't even see a presence and having worked in food service many years , I'm not afraid to. However this was not a reflection on the service and I tipped them as I would normally but just the absolute feel of things and food quality. The care was missing and having been a locals spot as well as visited by the Golden State Warriors often , it won't go unnoticed. Just was disappointing and I have a feeling based on how slow it was , I'm not the only one.

"hey I know we were going to hang out tonight but I invited my boyfriend, hope that's OK"
Mother. Fucker.
Not my fail, but I was a witness at least.
My SGT made a death notification to the wrong person at 4 in the morning. Contacted the father of a male with a extremely similar name.
Def made for a interesting morning.
How similar is extremely similar? Cause that's very lol, after about an hour of calming down from crying hysterically.

Very very similar.
Like Brian Greaves vs Ryan Reeves type of deal.
Same apartment complex, and names came out over the radio. So![]()
Nice and sunny when I get up but had rained thru the night so had to ride to work slowly so not to get my backside too wet.... so at the point in my ride where I'd normally already be there the sky opens up and starts pouring so get wet anyways.
Get into work and computer says settings out of date gotta sign in to Microsoft account. Ask boss what did you change. He's like oh I just changed it on mine you should be fine. Mother fucker we already went over this last time... that is precisely why I'm not fine. He complains saying this is too complicated. You're the one that is fucking doing things you have no reason to be doing making it more complicated without the slightest bit of thought. Of course can't remember log in credentials.... so now my not sure what is going on think it just means I'm not syncing with the cloud
Received a delivery of stainless steel cladding for a doorway that we're building this past Tuesday. Finished the frame this morning and went to start cladding it only to find out the cladding was made 3/4" too small. Call my boss to correct the mistake and reorder and somehow its my fault it was short in the first place because I should have caught it sooner when I only started this job two fucking day ago. Being foreman is not worth the extra $1.30/hr I'm getting.
I hate Kaiser healthcare so much.
Last week or so I've had some moderate back pain and figured I just strained it somehow. Forward a week to now and it hasn't improved in addition it's now radiating to.my lower abdomen and pelvic areas. Woke up a bit ago and just lying down aches now too. Of course no appointments over a week so call the advice nurse. They see nothing so send a message to my primary office.
Office actually calls back for once , tells me to go to the ER because they don't have anything. I explained I don't think that's an acceptable healthcare solution everytime. Then backpedals saying oh we had an appointment at 11:40am so I don't know why they didn't offer it. Umm because I can't instantaneously drive 40 miles to said facility as it was 11:30am when we spoke.
Said assistant gives some more excuses accuses me of yelling when I'm just being firm in not being ignored then hangs up.
My fucking primary is awesome but everyone else can just fuck off including the women's health department who I can't even trust.

Random YMMV advice but when you get a back strain, don't favor it. Force yourself to still do things the way your normally would, even if a bit slower (e.g. bending over to put on socks vs lifting up leg). Do air deadlifts. Make yourself walk normally. For me it changes recovery time from 1-2 weeks to 1-2 days.

I'd say it very much depends on the type and severity of the injury. Which is all the more reason to see the doctor.
But in Ast's case, going by the symptoms, it's sounding like she probably hurt her QL, which is something I also suffer from and have been for like a couple years now. I've yet to find a stretch or combination thereof that works, while strengthening attempts haven't yielded anything either. I probably go on a weekly cycle of kinda-sorta there to not wanting to leave bed later in the day. It sucks, but without my own healthcare, can only try to self-treat.
