30min ago the police just busted through their door with ARs. Hands up! I was brushing my teeth so I didn't hear it, but my gf freaked out and ran to me saying the police are coming in. They weren't, but their literally 1ft out my door right now. I dare not open my door atm, but there's a pot plant inches from my face right now and I can do nothing about it...

Also, this fucked up sexy time with the gf so there's my fail.

One of the problems could be over-qualification. If you are clearly over qualified for a job and are just looking for an entry level job to get back on your feet you will often be ignored. They don't want to hire someone who is going to leave quickly when they find something better or rise quickly and be a potential threat to the managers jobs...

Who knew it could be so hard to get a shitty minimum wage job nowadays? Been applying to all sorts of places (except fast food) for the past month and got 1 group interview. Found out I'm not good enough to work early morning stock at a grocery store I guess. Maybe I should stop being actually honest on the self-assessment part of online applications and give the kissing ass, customer is always right type answers. Just finished one for Kohl's and got an automated "we're not interested" response with 5 minutes. At least they had the courtesy to reply. It really starts to wear on your self-esteem when you don't get any response for the jobs "any idiot could do".

Before I got the insurance gig, which was a referral from an old friend, I had applied for somewhere around 60 jobs and only had two interviews without any job offer. Same as you I was qualified for all of these jobs and in most cases overqualified. While there is no concrete evidence of this some google fu suggests my resume was getting auto kicked due to not having certain key words in it so the resume wasn't getting past the initial auto-scan and actually getting to someone in HR. Don't give up!

I had a neighbor growing up who was my age. We weren't close but still neighborhood friends.

His mom committed suicide when we were in high school.

This week his younger brother committed suicide.



Mental health support in this country fucking sucks.

Funeral for my friend was today. Was extremely bittersweet. Was shocked to see how many different law enforcement agencies showed up to pay their respects. Still wanted to believe it was a joke though.

Just really shows how things can change in an instant.

She tells us it's super confusing because she definitely clicked our website and it says 8-5 and we definitely open.... yeah it does under general business hours and the space right below that says walk in hours and lists those...

Wait you have "general open hours" and "walk in hours" and those are separate? If you don't accept walk ins then the doors should be locked. That is confusing.

Yeah a lot of businesses do that's not really that strange or confusing. Think a mostly mobile business that also has limited store front hours

I agree the door should be locked but they wouldn't have known that before coming here. I often actually do lock the door but the boss is this weird person who thinks we are back in the 60s where if someone shows up we should try to work with or something so he often keeps it unlocked and if it's locked he will literally run out there and such.

In other work fails coworker takes a call from customer. Apparently they want some note to pass to the driver tomorrow to call them or something. After finishing the call with the runsheet open in front of him on his computer said coworker asks me to change said run sheet and add the stuff he was about to recite that he wrote down and doesn't understand why I'm looking at him like he's either retarded or this is a prank

Just did online grocery shopping for the first time this week, we picked up but next time might do delivery.

I may never go to the grocery store again, got exactly what I wanted and nothing more and used the weekly circular/coupons almost exclusively.

Golf. Fucking garbage day course was like a quagmire was 2-3 putting everything and taking huge chunks of Earth on every iron shot making everything come up short.

Bought a new set of clubs a few weeks ago so I can no longer blame my game being bad on the clubs. Although they did improve a few things MAJORLY and were a huge reason I was playing bad I can't say it's just them lol.
