Anyways power just went out while working for a few minutes. A pain in itself but it also again reminded me I work with some of the most brain dead/oblivious people sometimes. Like boss goes why's the computer off weird everything was off... after I told him the power was out for several minutes. Then surprised all the programs were closed when restarting. New girl sat their clicking her mouse and checking her monitor for several minutes before saying something's wrong with her computer it wouldn't do anything... I quickly determined she hadn't even thought to turn it back on <.<. A minute later asks how and where the button is.... it literally has 1 button on top...
I'm about to go postal on the next time someone does something stupid and/or completely oblivious to the world around them. So probably the next person to talk to me

Someone has decided to sign our 'all employee' group email address up to a dozen porn sites. That's going to keep me busy for a while.

No idea why it was configured to allow external emails in but hey ho.

Got invited to the wedding of a girl I kind of only know, she’s a bartender at my local hangout and we are friendly and she is the flirty bartender type because of course she is working for tips. Now I kinda feel like I only got invited so I’d bring a gift, and I acknowledge that, but at the same time I wouldn’t mind going for the after wedding party.

Dont analyze why you're being included and just go with it. People gave different reasons for why they do what they do, but if they want you there on her special day, then that must mean something to them. Not a fail my friend.

So bosses wife comes by and just casual mentions he's out back forgot something. So I mention he's been doing that a lot lately... and she's like yeah she knows and thinks might be onset of some form of dementia... and ya know that kind of clicks. And older coworker I've mentioned has a recent memory of swiss cheese... so think it's time to start looking into a change for my future

Realized I can't drink sweet drinks at all anymore. I had a milkshake a couple weeks ago and had to stop about a third of the way through, today I tried a double chocolate frappuccino and got through the dome cap before my stomach said no. Feels bad man.

You sure it's not lactose intolerance kicking in finally? Common denominator is dairy and sugar.

Ehhh, pizza cheese isnt usually as bad as full on milkshakes. Eat more yogurt or take probiotics. I used to get bad bowels from dairy (sans sour cream or pizza), but probiotics cleared that right up. Just gotta remember to repopulate yourself if you ever take antibiotics.

Most cheeses lose a significant portion of their carbs and therefore lactose in the process. People who are actually intolerant can still sometimes eat some cheeses fine.

But generally this shit is just some kind of IBS that just flares up when stressed or eating any number of things that you could normally eat fine but not like this. Just give your tummy a break for a bit on the things that make it angry and drinking and try again after awhile.

Also to go with the talk of having more if you already are doing a lot on the pre/probiotics maybe cut back. You can have too much and it cause similar symptoms

Ditto on the cheese stuff. I can eat a lot of dairy products with no problem but straight up milk fucks me up if I drink more than a glass and bleu cheese absolutely destroys me.

I was informed Friday night as I was getting into bed that my mother in law, her sister, and a friend of theirs want to visit my wife and I starting this evening. Then they weren't sure if they were going to on Saturday. Then on Saturday night they decided again that they were going to.

Wife and I had to spend the entire day yesterday cleaning, doing yard work, etc. because my wife still hasn't quit her dumb farmer's market job so I can't get anything done on Saturdays as I have the baby for 10+ hours straight.

She needs to quit that fucking job.

I am very strongly lactose intolerant but only for milk. Cheese doesn't bug me. The Dr. said that is fairly common as the fermentation process for cheese often destroys most of the lactose. Not sure how true that is but what is true is that I get really bad stomach cramps and other stuff from drinking milk but can eat cheese without issue.

My fail right now. A little over a year ago one of our dogs passed away. Then recently our other dog got really sick with a tumor in his spleen. My wife (who is pregnant) freaked out that we would have no dogs soon and decided it was time to get another dog. (we are usually a two dog family anyway). So we went to this place out in central valley CA somewhere near Turlock and picked out a puppy after much searching for the right kind. While we were there she noticed one of the puppies had a foxtail in its eye and another had a foxtail in its foot. She got the foxtail out of the puppies eye but it needed vet care. Needless to say the people with the puppies were not going to take it to the vet which would mean the puppy would lose its eye so my wife decided to bring home both of the puppies with foxtails. So now we have two puppies instead of one.

We made an agreement that we would get rid of the extra puppy once it was all healed up. (my wife is a vet tech) But she is getting attached to both of them.

Side note our older dog made a full recovery from his spleen tumor after having surgery.

At least the puppies are cute but we don't really have the space for three dogs. Also I am glad that we got the extra puppy though because we were able to save her eye.

This is a win to me because you both went out of your way to help the puppies that obviously needed care. I just hope you can find just as a caring and responsible owners for the other one.

Lactose is just a chain of two types of sugars. The microorganisms doing the fermentation break that chain and start eating the sugars, so depending on the length of the fermentation generally speaking there shouldnt be much if any lactose to give you an upset tummy.

That's also why probiotics work so well. They deliver bacteria that can do that breakdown for you to your gut, so assuming their numbers are high enough they can break down the lactose that normally fucks you up. Highly recommend.
