Not my fail, my friends, but I'm honestly amazed she hasn't killed anyone yet over this. Husband is navy and got transferred from Florida to Central California. So they decided now was as good of a time as any to buy instead of doing military housing. Finally settled on a fixer upper and put in a bid. Since they were in florida, they were going through an agent by proxy to be a middle man for them. First inspection came back with an indication of mold. They said that if they clean it out and get another inspection after showing it's cleared, they will sign off and finish. Little while later, they get an inspection it's in the clear.
Cut to a month later when they are finally moved down there. The carpet immediately had to be torn out as some horrible smell was embedded in it and transferring to everything. They begin work on the kitchen a couple days later by ripping out the cabinets and discover black mold. Not only was it not disclosed, the kitchen wasn't even the location of the mold in the initial inspection. So now they may have to split up while dealing with legal bullshit and have the husband live on base in the barracks while she pulls the kids out of their new school and move them up to Sacramento where her family lives, so she doesn't have to raise 3 kids in a house infested with black mold.....
