My left leg is killing me and I'm limping around work today. Took a few minutes to figure it out. Had pork for dinner 2 of the last 3 days. Fuck this gout flare up making me feel old.

He came over for Labor Day. It's definitely final, and there were clear signs of a problem that I'm not sure he realized or maybe didn't want to acknowledge.

Then my wife sends me a text on my drive into work this morning and another friend of mine and his wife are splitting up. I don't know wtf is going on.

I've seen this happen in phases , people grow apart or refuse to see and address the issues and enough is enough. A few years back several of my friends online split , and I didn't see any of them coming. I think it's just part of the life cycle and it can be hard to watch and understand especially if under less than ideal circumstances.

Not to make light of what you're going through, but if they're all approaching 90 I'm sure they feel they've lived a full life. At least to a certain extent. There are always things people wish they did, but damn did they all put their time in.

My grandfather had leukemia for 19 years before it finally got the best of him. He was just shy of 91. Talk about a stubborn, old Irishman.

She'll get to meet the baby next month when we take a trip back to the plains. I'm sure I'll really be a mess then. This is definitely my favorite grandparent - I mean come on, as a kid she'd rent a SNES from the grocery store and make hot pockets for me when visiting.

Applied to re-up my IDR plan for my law school loans, got a notice today that it's going to double soon because I make so much more money than I used to. Of course, when I was making less I was also living with my girlfriend and splitting all expenses. Also, since I don't make enough to pay the 3 grand a month it would take to actually start paying it down, this money is all just being thrown into the void and accomplishing nothing. Please someone with a plan to actually address student debt win the Presidency.

This is the big problem that people without loans don't understand. By the time you get to a place to pay them, a lot of time the debt is so high that just keeping up with the interest is hard, meaning you are just tossing the money into a black hole.

I'm getting close to paying mine off, but they were only around 60k.... my wife's...... holy fuck. We had a talk about if it would be better to just focus on paying off the house instead of her loan because both are around the same amount. Considering one is just a loan that doesn't do anything, and the other builds equity I think we are just going to focus on the house.

I don't even want loan forgiveness, just take the interest away (past and future). If all we had to pay was what we took out, we could knock that shit out in a few years.

Me in July: Complaining at work about parking lot lights being insufficient. Can't ID someone's face in the dim lit conditions.

Walked into a giant fucking shitstorm of drama at work today. I am so fucking over this high school bullshit and drama, if command staff would actually do something instead of keep sending out "reminder emails about conduct" shit might actually get fixed.

Fuck they are so lucky I'm on vacation starting Saturday and gone for 10 nights because this is getting ridiculous. That's what you get for putting all the high school kids on the same damn team..

My father in law was diagnosed with Lung Cancer back in 2014, and beat it after a successful surgery and chemo. He is cancer free now for years. Kick its ass.

My behemoth coworker did it again yesterday. Blatantly stole a customer/lead/sale from me, asked her about it giving her an out to do the right thing, and she ignored it and kept on. Manager is 1000 miles away at a conference until tomorrow. I've already typed up a professional letter which will be waiting for the boss when he arrives tomorrow. Had a friend I'd trust with anything proof read and he said it's great.

Something he brought up was "if they deny unemployment the letter should help". Not sure exactly what he meant by that unless he's saying they fire me for bringing this up. I have brought up in the past to my manager about this coworker stealing leads/sales and clearly no discipline was performed. This is classic "they produce so they can do whatever they want" attitude.

At this point I'm done with sales/service. I do not carry a "killer instinct" for it. I enjoy helping people and what not but that doesn't put numbers on the board. Time to hit up indeed, linkedin, and whatever else for anything.

Why not just do plain old customer service that isn't linked to sales? Would get a steady pay that doesn't rely on you being a salesperson. Look at beverage/food industries and work in the customer service/quality department. My company's looking for someone right now, but i don't think you live in NY.
