So my part of town is still in the confusing not in evac zone according to the evac orders but within the map... so decided to fuck it and go back seems like everyone else has too. So back at work and trying to do schedules but between the fires and then tons of places still having no power it's hard to say where we can even go.

Also tinder giving the rub ins telling me it's on fire in town right now lol

Not to sound ungrateful but it gets pretty annoying when I keep getting texts like "oh the fire is close to you are you ok?" and I panic for a sec only to realize they're talking about the fire 100 miles away...

The thing is though if they looked at the actual map of the active fire and evacuation zones they could tell easily just by the city you're in lol.

Yeah I respond with a screenshot of the fire map lol. "See this is santa Rosa... and this is Oakland."

Was a little closer on Sunday though with the fire in Lafayette.

My bad. I think I must have brought it with me when I came down to the east bay on sunday lol. Was so weird when started getting smokier down there

In other news I found out why evac orders seemed contradictory... it's because the county who is actually issuing the evac orders and sending out all the emergency texts has different demarcations then the state and I think even the city and all of them are cross linking with each other so it's hard to know where the info is coming from each one. Shit is confusing as fuck but I got power and everyone else around is there so yolo

Jesus fuck, how many times do I have to tell people to tell their vendors that if their e-mail server is giving them a fucking error when they try to e-mail us something, the issue is on there end, not ours and I can't fucking troubleshoot it.

Millions of times! over and over and over. This one hits close for me. I fucking hate it when I spend time telling outside vendors to talk to their own IT department because the issue is on their side.

My fail is insurance premiums are going up 8% this year. Better than 30% last year but still hurts. I haven't gotten any raises in a couple years so I am making less now than I did before because of stupid healthcare. On the flip side additional kids don't cost extra so the premiums will not go up when kid #3 is born/added to insurance.

Some kind of flu or illness is going around work and I'm starting to get symptoms. It's like a milder case of norovirus I had earlier this year but fuck I'm miserable.
And thanks daylight savings for making me work 13 hours tomorrow.

More fail is I'm going to Disneyland next weekend so I need to feel better.
And one our newest hires is already quitting..fuck can we just get a break on my team.

See a ton of no parking, tow away signs at our complex for Monday till Tuesday afternoon. They are redoing the asphalt for the parking lot and no one will be able to park on-site. Going to have to be up at 630am on Monday to leave early for work and find some other side street to park after work.

Been sick since Wednesday with a bad cold. Feeling like shit at work and have 0 brain power to do anything today. My body's here, but my mind is just completely turned off. Of course it had to happen at the beginning of month when we do all of our reconciling for the previous month. 7 hours left to go.

So lately almost any match I get on tinder that hasn't tried to sell me a cam show and actually responded at least once would just stop responding for weeks on end... but every time I'm like well seeya immediate response unusual an unmatch lol. But the best is the one who yesterday almost sounded offended. Like sorry I don't like my time being wasted

And for some reason traffic here has been insane. Like it still looks like full commuter traffic even on side streets of the freeway at 630 PM

Starting Dec 1st I need to do my 30hr OSHA course or have an SST card issued to me by my union which says that I have tons of training hours already from going through the apprenticeship.

Call the Union today and they assure me that I'll have the card by dec 1st but I don't know that I trust them and may end up doing the 30hr course online a few hours a night just so I don't get fucked.
