How are they going to even track that? Did they make you hook it up to your wifi or something?
Well I'm sure that's all going to be outlined when I go in for my orientation.

Well my insurance already seems to be far superior to yours as I didn't have to do a $500 copay just for the test. So I'll take my chances.
My experience was annoying. I started it in the navy cause yay free... so first appointment was just to talk about it and set the appointment 3 months later for when I'd go in mostly just to get the at home. Then another 3 months to go in and discuss the results being inconclusive and they wanted me to go a month later to talk about the overnight hospital one I'd then have to schedule for a good couple months later. Then another couple months to go in talk about the results and where to go... so yeah by the time I got to the end literally a year after I started I was out of the navy and paying out of pocket and they wanted 12k just to put me under to remove my tonsils lol
I don't think he's suggesting not to get it just to make sure you read whatever info they have about it so you don't get surprised and fucked. And yes it's quite common for it to record and track your sleep data. Pretty sure it was intended to give an idea of your sleep sessions for your doctors but of course insurance companies will use anything they can against you
The new ones are monitored wirelessly, sure. But you have to set it up, and setting it up isnt mandatory, at least for us (kaiser). Unit was free, no co pay. Same with study. Supplies are even free unless you're going through them faster than every 90 days, which you shouldn't be.
@sath the nasal rinse may or may not be something you want/need to do. I have to do it to get an ENT consult, because the first thing our ENT does is put you on a nasal spray + rinse for 3 months so this cuts that wait out.
I hate it, feels like I'm being waterboarded but that's because I'm awful at it. You do it right and it's not a big deal at all.
Older equipment tends to have a meter in its stead, too. Usually an hours in operation thing. From the mechanical aspect, this makes sense for changing filters and tubes, but insurance basically saying, "You're not using it enough, we're taking it away!" is bullshit.
