There are quests that you get when you set up camp. It sends you into the nearby town with an old dude and two women. Just need to get the quest from someone in camp. Should be a marker.

I’m supposed to be taking off next week for vacation. Boss scheduled an all staff meeting on Tuesday morning and started off by saying he knew I was on vacation but if I would be able to make the meeting because it was going to be very important. I said sure. Now this is where I messed up. Now he asked me if I could reschedule my vacation week for later and he would approve because he “really needs me here that week” but he won’t tell me WHY. Then he asked me not to tell anyone that he asked me to switch vacation days. I 100% think some people are getting fired in that meeting and I’m gonna be doing 2-3 people’s jobs for a couple weeks until they hire replacements.

So comcast internet customers get access to a ton of their mobile hotspots they got everywhere for wifi. I mostly just use it at work to listen to crap while I work. Well it stopped working end of last week and still not up. So have to go thru several chats for them to tell me the fine print is I only get 40 hours a month and that might be why. Ask them to see if that's really the case and where I can check when it resets and how much I've used etc and apparently they don't even have to tools to check I have to sign into the ap to check. Which of course asks for all my location data and access to my phone... and Comcast is at the bottom of the list of companies I'd trust with that.


Also riding into work a house was up in flames about a block from my work

Cable companies are lying sacks when it comes to that shit.

Optimum (just bought by someone else) has the same thing. It's basically just accessing someones router through a separate "network."

I was looking at one of the bills and it said something like "You've used 0GB of data on the Optimum Wifi hot spots. Average customer use is 750GB." I immediately said go fuck yourself the average customer uses 750GB on these random hot spots off someone elses router. I don't even use 3 GB on my phone most months.

So yeah checked out the ap... and all it does is show me locations of these hot spots doesn't say shit about my limits. And of course started me opted in to sending a bunch more of my info that I had to go to settings to even find out about let alone turn off. So yeah immediately uninstalled

So check my fridge and see one of my Zoe's pepperoni has mold all over it... quickly see it's just the casing and take it off. It's pepperoni so the actual surface isn't molding. Fuck it. Rinsed it off, cut the end off and took a bite. Seeya tomorrow if this becomes a real fail lol

Had an interview today, was pretty much hired on the spot, but got the NVM since I don't have a copy of my social security card and they're looking to hire today. (would take too long to get it and the training will have already started)

It typically takes about two weeks between the time you report the loss to having a new Social Security card in your hand. Even better news, replacing a lost or stolen Social Security card is free. The Social Security Administration outlines three basic steps: Learn what documents you need.

Any fast way to get a copy of the birth certificate, one of those is required to apply for even the temp SS card

In Connecticut you just stroll into any city hall and drop 20 dollars and get it then and there. Actually I think its 25 now.

ah, looking at it now, seems the same here as well but only for in state birth certificates. Only offers a link of how to order a birth certificate online for ppl born in diff states (Idon't live in my birth state)

Lucky when I had to get mine in Washington they only would issue it from the city of birth so could pick it up that there or they'd ship it overnight to you from there. Still pretty cheap even with overnight shipping

Look at it as a learning experience and now you know what you need for the next opportunity

Due to coronavirus concerns, almost all of the companies over here in techland are having everyone work from home

This would be a win in most other circumstances, but I no longer have a job I can mostly blow off for an entire day or two. I have terrible discipline working from home away from my nice two screen set up at work. I also live a 60 second walk from the office so it isn't saving me any time

I'm probably going in next week regardless because my productivity has been shot the past two days
