So many people are traveling from out of town to come visit and camp where I live that they had to shut down all the hiking trails and beaches so now I can't even walk my kids down to these areas that we can walk to from our house. People suck. I am sorry you decided to live in such a shitty area. Don't ruin where I live. You are supposed to stay home. Fines from $5k to $10k per person for not following the rules.

Wife wanted to get organic soil from farm north of us for our planting beds. Shit was double the cost of normal top soil/garden soil. They tell us they'll deliver in 1 CY sacks and that we need something to offload them. I rented a skid steer with forks to lift them from the truck, cost me $488. Guys come and drop the soil in a tri-axle, didn't need the skid steer. Now I'm trying to chase these guys down to work something out cause fuck you for telling me I need something to offload and then you send it in a fucking dump.

Also it's raining and we're supposed to have thunderstorms. Covered the pile as best I could, but one of my tarps was smaller than the other so there are some bare spots. Hopefully doesn't wash out too much.

County IT is trying to take over every agency's IT budget and deal with Dell instead of letting us handle our own business. This is the same IT Division that sold my agency director a surface book, didn't bother to tell me about it, used their own naming scheme, and didn't give me any sort of admin access, and I only found out about it when it stopped working, and I couldn't fix the issue as I had no admin rights to install the fix.

I talked with my old manager and basically got confirmation they are doing it as a scare tactic for more money. Supposedly you will then oy be allowed to buy the models they choose and God help you if you don't spend your entire budget and think you'll get your money back.

So Comcast sneakily added a dollar onto my bill already even though still a few months left on the contract. Best part is they put it on the modem rental... the same one I've had for awhile all of a sudden costs more? Guess that's how they get around the contract for the service. Already can tell I'm gunna have to yell at some people when contract up

Dude, time to just ditch their modem. I did that a few years ago when I was paying for 100mb down and their wifi modem/gateway they were making me use couldn't even handle 10mb down, and god forbid if two devices were running at the same time.

Fail for me is I have been waiting on a cell phone replacement for a user. Followed up with Verizon and they said it was delivered on the 16th. Checked the tracking, and they show it delivered and signed for by me, which was really impressive as I was working from home that week.

Got a bike helmet for my daughter and a rear rack for my bike delivered from REI yesterday. Was supposed to be delivered Monday. Why is this a fail? Because the kid bike seat was supposed to be delivered Saturday and now says it won't arrive until Wednesday the 29th.

I would really like to take my bike out, but I know my wife will complain if I leave her alone with the baby for two hours so I can go off because someone would need to watch her. Compromise is I take the baby in the bike seat and then if my wife wants she can take her bike out as well.

My brain will hurt next week @ work. Need to start writing dates the EU way DD (3 letter month) YYYY. Can they make things even more stressful after a 2nd employee tested positive on site? I guess they can keep piling it on!

I worked abroad a few years back and had to write dates that way, and as long as the month is in letters it was easy enough. When the month had to be in numbers, it was confusing to me, but most of the time and with most files, writing 22 Jan 2013 or what have you was not a big deal. I still often sign dates that way even today.

I also learned to speak Celsius, and that also mostly stuck with me, but of course Freedom degrees are correct.

Had to take my husband to the ER just now. He fell with no memory of why or how and hospital is allowing no visitors so my anxiety is through the roof.

He has intense shoulder pain likely from the fall and hit his head good so they want blood work, x-rays and CT scan. I had to drive him in so all I can do is wait now.

My fail today:

We had an IEP scheduled today at noon. Last email I got regarding it said it was canceled.

Go to Costco real fast today to do some shopping. Once I had a cart full of stuff I get spam calls of "Why aren't you at the meeting?" I pick up the phone and I say the last email I got said canceled. I never even got a zoom link or anything.

Somehow this is my fault for not being home and never got any other communication.

Supposed to meet on phone with Principal and VP (he's chill and will back me up), but now they aren't responding to messages, so I can't like leave my computer as I wait for an email.

Haha I was half awake typing this and worried so wasn't really paying attention to what social media I was using. But yeah everything seems okay just so random and weird. I guess it was a good thing I was home sick today..
