Is it every business where sales reps consistently don't know any fucking thing about the products they sell? Jesus fuck I deal with the most incompetent motherfuckers every day. This guy requests the wrong product, like totally wrong. I ask him a question on the case to confirm if that is what he really wants. Doesn't fucking answer me for 3 months.

Today I get an email asking what the status is. Confirmed with a technical team member what the customer really wanted, basically told the sales guy he sold the wrong product, here is what you should have sold and that is what I'm setting up. Spent the last 30 minutes setting up the prereqs so it could go live tomorrow. All I fuckin needed was accurate information which I couldn't get from the sales rep selling our products.

If you can't be bothered to answer a simple question I'm not going to ask it 4 fucking times to get an answer. Do your fucking job. I don't have time to hand hold adults like they are toddlers, especially ones who get paid twice my salary +commission.

Oh our parent company bent us over today too, no merit raises and 401k match is suspended effective 5/8. Layoffs incoming yall.

Already understaffed, everyone in my department is consistently buried every day. Fucking hilarious if they lay anyone off in our department. Good fucking luck with my accounts. I literally built tools to retrieve data from our APIs because the volume is too much to retrieve manually. Also, I can sip my coffee and watch the news while my tools do the manual work of 5 of my coworkers.

Sad thing is I would probably make more on unemployment with the way it's currently structured. I'm not essential so no essential worker raise, we just have the infrastructure that everyone can continue working from home. I work from home full time anyways since I relocated to Vermont.

On a positive note though we're getting our farm setup nice (I live in VT in a small rural town). We have 14 acres. Goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, we just got 4 baby turkey chicks, getting 18 more baby chickens tomorrow. We're considering getting a license to sell meat, eggs, dairy and trying to make a profit. I want to make ice cream from our goat milk, I feel like we could make a pretty decent profit off of something like that.

Spent my entire vacation working on the farm. Built a raised garden bed for our veggies, put a new roof on our old goat house turned new chicken coop. Retrofitted old chicken coop for baby bunnies. Got all the materials to build a new 10x10 structure for all our rabbits. Had two batches of baby buns recently so the older baby buns had to go out to the chicken coop so the new baby buns could come inside with their mom. Our goats are fuckin escape artists so we spent lots of last week working on an electric fence for them. Trying to make that fence extra spicy so they stop challenging their boundaries.

I've been working as chat support for a bank for the past year or so. Chats range from legitimate requests to help, to the most entitled, demanding, toxic people you can imagine. Had a chat today that I woulda never thought I'd have. Someone wanted to dispute their charge at a women's clinic for an abortion. They wanted to dispute it because it hurt. All I could think at first was "what, didn't it work?"

Company takes sexism extremely seriously. If a customer even hints that they think you're not providing good service because of their race, gender, etc, then there's a full investigation and mandatory training tied to it. I was on pins and needles that whole chat. That's not a dispute that is going to find in their favor, but glad I got through it without any craziness. She came off as pretty batty.

So first pay period when we mostly shutdown boss was like just put whatever days you missed down but say cause of shutdown and will count it as vacation that wont come out of vacation because he's applying for the business thing. Works out just fine. But since there was the whole it running out and couldn't get it he changed it for this pay period... but ya know didn't tell me. Then when I submitted my timesheet the same way despite it saying on there he just thought I randomly wanted to burn a ton of vacation days and didn't question it. Even better he submitted these to our payroll accounts hours after he ended up getting approved for the loan thing. So bring it up he's like oh didn't realize thought I told you. Did the timesheet look like you told me? Uggg was like would've filed unemployment... might have even made more lol. He's like yeah thought I told you that too. Um so you thought I was just randomly cashing in 8 days of vacation while also getting normal pay for other days, unemployment and stimulus? wut

Edit: Oh boy my vitamin company pulled quite the fast one on me. Went to reorder some stuff like normal. Everything looks fine. Get one of the bottles and I could swear it had more pills in it than before. Go check my old bottle and sure enough it has 3 times as many. Go thru my orders.... according to their website I've been ordering the lesser amount all along according to the receipts they sent me nope been ordering what I thought. Check closer and sure enough they are using the same inventory number. So they just wholesale swapped it out retroactively. The real kicker is that not only did they not cut the price by 1/3 it's actually a 50% higher than last time I ordered. So I'm paying about 4times as much for the same product. They also switched from regular clear kind of gel type pill to those weird powder filled ones and slapped a organic label on it... and of course there was nothing that said hey this reordering the same item you had last time is vastly different. Oh and looking at it further it seems the old one is still available though currently out of stock but under a different inventory number.... for almost half the price of this new one. Fucking full bait and switch to something that cost twice as much for 1/3 as much product

So yesterday while at work my email started getting spammed with OKCupid matches, ones I didn't even recognize as I don't use it that often anyway.

Then noticed the messages were addressed to a name that wasn't mine..and my profile was intact as far as the bio part and about me, but my pics were gone and some random woman was there instead and changed the name on my profile to a fake one of Lisa. I didn't use my real name on there anyway.

Tried to change password , said mine was incorrect, tried other recovery methods but nope. So seems it was connected to my Facebook account, but thankfully that was untouched. Had to change every password I had on all social media accounts, was able to edit the OKC profile to say it was hacked so hopefully people see that.

Apparently I failed to set up 2 factor authentication at some point so lesson learned..

I don't usually contact customer service to file a complaint on an individual, but whoever is out here delivering for amazon needed it today.

They delivered my package to the wrong house. Not even next door. Across the street. I knock on the door but no answer so I had to write a damn note explaining that my package showed up on their property (because they have cameras so they def will have seen me do it) and left a number if they wanted a text w/ the confirmation deets of my package being delivered w/ the pic they posted of the package sent to my address is on their porch.

Not only that, we live on a main street (Another reason why I didn't just want to leave it there waiting for whoever to get home. I don't even know who lives there or what they look like), but the place they delivered it to has a sign on the door to deliver to the side of the house, and the fucker couldn't even do that. (made sure to note that in the complaint as well)

@ work. Webinar class about problem solving and root cause analysis/RCCM. Splinter off into smaller groups to tackle a problem. The group guide who has been WFH the entire time gives the call an icebreaker. "Since being in quarantine what have we all taken up for hobbies?" 2/3rds of the call has been reporting to work like normal for the past 7+ weeks busting our asses on the manufacturing floor. I think we all wanted to slap him and someone said "Going to work" to release the pressure.

My wonderful manager at work due to county IT pushing it enforced a mandatory 30 day password rotation for the local admin account for our servers. Guess who is now locked out, doesn't have the passwords, and not only needs to do a file restore, but also needs to update the backup software with the new credentials.

That's kind of shocking to me but might be different over here. Don't think I've ever seen a bike locked up that had anything easily removeable left on it... and definitely seen a few with everything that could be removed without cutting taken off lol. Remember one week saw 4 different bikes with the wheel the chain wasn't going thru and the fucking seat removed. Needless to say I'm a bit paranoid now
