Was supposed to e-mail my ortho to get my 8 week checkup on my fractured clavicle done (she works out of an urgent care and they aren't allowed to book out more than a week unless it's for PT), and find out she's on leave starting today for 2 weeks. Go and e-mail my primary explaining it, and get an auto response saying he's on vacation today for a week.

Today has been a royal fucking clusterfucking nightmare at work.
Walk into a shitstorm and basically everyone trying to run things their own way with zero communication or understanding because half the others are on overtime.

My entire housing unit at the jail I work at is on quarantine , someone staff side I worked with tested positive but they won't sanitize my working area because the risk is low..lolwut? Yet they quarantine inmates for less..thanks for that.

Also got to have a late lunch ,waited 20 minutes for a quesadilla that makes taco bell look like gourmet food. Forced myself to eat half because I was starving.
And I still have a day and a half to go this week..FUCK. At least I wasn't stupid enough to sign up for OT this week.

My wife and I watched it recently and ya, we remember Taco Bell from when we were kids but the copy we found online was Pizza Hunt. It was weird cause it was so out of place and very poorly done to cover up the Taco Bell logo. Even the dubbing was really really bad.

Still an amazing though.

Okay, I got a Amazon delivery FAIL.

So okay. I ordered a new blood pressure cuff b/c mine is now on the fritz due to velcro going bad. It was supposed to arrive today. It did NOT and I got a notice that it couldn't be delivered. BULL.

..I ended up contacting Amazon twice. Second time I found out the driver NEVER came to my address (I hadn't heard anything, which is why I was reaching out to Amazon in the first place). Mind, we live in the boonies and there are no porch pirate shenanigans here to worry about. Anyway someone's getting scolded and retrained or fired depending on how many times said driver pulled this [censored], and I'll be getting it tomorrow.

So out of curiosity started looking into some flights in upcoming months. And yeah just trying to fly to same place I was supposed to go in may that I booked before pandemic price drops is much higher now. Similarly comparing to the last few trips I took the flights cost more. Meanwhile I keep being told how much cheaper prices are supposed to be now. Where the fuck these supposed greatly lowered prices?

So here's a real great fail. So boss gets on me because HE made an invoice for the wrong date and I didn't notice to tell him. Extra context that makes it even better... he made this invoice either on Friday or Saturday for a job that was supposed to be done today. I didn't work Friday but came in Sunday by myself for some work. And somehow it's my fault he last minute added a stop and put the wrong date because I spent a few hours here catching up on the weekend and didn't call him that I had no way of even thinking would be time sensitive.

We are so short at work if I wanted to kill myself I could easily make double my paycheck in overtime every week.

I already signed up for 5 shifts but now debating how bad I really need July 3rd off because that's double overtime pay..ugh..so tempting. But also could get stuck anywhere including the mental health unit which would be a grueling 12 hours..

Bought a Honda Civic hatchback over the weekend.

Finance guy at the dealership calls me and says Honda made a change to their system and the way they’re going to process my trade-in car will cost extra money in taxes.

He tried to get my to agree to $1.60/month more on my bill. Fuck that. We made a deal. We signed paperwork. Honor the fucking deal you scumbag.

I don’t care if it was $1.60 or $0.01 more per month. It’s the principle. We made a deal. Everything’s been signed for 2 full days now. I don’t work for Honda; you do. It’s not my fault you fucked up.

I told him to call me back as I had a work meeting, but really I needed to pause for a minute or it would’ve gotten really ugly.

I’m telling him straight up no. If he wants to get lawyers involved I gladly will. This is over $115.20 mind you.

Our utilities are all managed by a private company to handle the splitting of sewer/garbage/water, and also has our PG&E and Gas bills on it. It's supposed to be paid with rent, and typically we get a card in the mail a week or so before the end of the month, and within a day or two of rent being due, the management company updates the renters portal with those charges so we can pay everything. Well, rent is due tomorrow, no card has been received, and they haven't updated the portal. So i'm going to have to pay the base rent tomorrow, and wait for them to get the rest of the information to update the rental portal and make a second payment.
