Nah, only way you can get fired there is no call no show pretty much; and even then it's a 50/50; if she can't find ppl to cover your shift she'll invite you back. It's really a joke, lol.

Hell she can't even keep the employees we have. 3 ppl hired last week, 2 already quit. From the time I was hired, only 3 ppl aside from the manager still work there (of our 35 staff size)

3rd anniversary of my moms death. Went to the gym to get my mind off things.

Been doing decline bench for 235 x3 for 2 weeks now so figured I’d try PRing bench press @205 LBs.

Did 1 rep and was feeling good. Went for that 2nd one and my right arm said “NOPE!”

Literally had to slowly place the bar on my fucking head.

Have a nice bump on my head the shape of a bar and burned some of the hair off my head.

Your head? what the hell you shouldn't be anywhere near your head. Should lower it to your chest and either cfh or roll it down your body until you can get from under it.


Also, higher ups offered our store 50 cent raises for all the employees and our store manager outright refused it; said we don't work hard enough as a store

my guts went on strike last night. just completely shut down, leaving me constipated and full of gas. 9/10 NRS would not recommend. for 8 hours today, i could do nothing but shuffle back and forth between the bathroom and bedroom as my guts cramped. couldn't even dick around on my phone- the pain fog was that intense. through that pain fog i had the presence of mind not to take my anti-diarrheal right away.... but foggy as i was i decided to take only my trial drug. which means i didn't take my acid reducer. so now even though i've turned the corner on the constipation, i'm shitting stomach acid. so that's fun. fog's clear-ish now so i'm fixing it, but man. today has been brutal.

I use this anytime things start to back up. Takes about an hour... and then shit moves along.

Spent 6 hours creating a report yesterday only to find out this morning we had one with all the same information saved in our system and I could've just been adding the info I wanted directly to that.

Had a weird thing happen today and not sure what to do about it, if anything.

Went to the store, came home and walked into the kitchen to see a boy (8-9) in our backyard looking around. Went outside to see what's up and saw that his father was sitting on top of our back stone wall (shared with his property). Apparently the kid had lost his football in our yard. I tried to be all like, "Oh hey it happens, our kids our bound to lose a ball eventually, too," but the guy barely said two words and almost seemed upset that I wanted to talk to him despite them coming onto my property without permission. Kid found the football and his father helped him back up over the wall, and it just left me feeling so weird.

We're new to this house and like, dude didn't even introduce himself, or apologize or anything. We haven't met at all prior to this. It was a harmless reason (getting a ball back), but they could have just walked the couple feet to the front door to ask if it was ok to come into our yard to find it or some shit. Then maybe get to know us so in the future it'd be nbd to be hopping on over.

But again, since we are new and we do share a wall, I don't want to be starting anything between us, either. God that was so weird, though.


[edit] I should mention, too, it's not like CA has big yards, so coming over into ours is like being right up against our house. We're a single floor, wtf what if one of us was getting changed. We don't have a reason to close our blinds.

I have a small Christmas tree in my place. I have the lights on a timer just so I don't have to plug it in and out everyday. I walk in the room where I have it and the star is out. I get closer and the star is partially melted! It is an older star and I guess the lights got to hot and it shorted out. I'm glad the tree is artificial or it may have started a fire. ^^;

My resume got picked up on indeed by the city and they wanted me to apply it's listed at 16-22/hr based on experience (I make 8.75/hr at my current job) and then I go look at the job description and it requires driving (which I don't do) RIP

depending on what it is, that could just mean "we need you to be able to travel a bit" or "you need an ID" so worth investigating further, see if they'll work w/you on it.

It's park maintenance, so unless they have all the relevant equipment at every park, I'd need something that could at least store the equipment; not to mention if they'd accept the travel time diff between a bicycle and a motor vehicle even if they did have all the equipment at every site

Well, round here, city services have their own liveried vehicles.
I imagine park maint would have a van or something.

More than likely they will supply the vehicle. You will need a drivers license though. How you get to your initial site location where the vehicle is stored is up to you
