I dunno but kind of in the same vein when I went for an eye exam a couple weeks ago the doc was like we can dilate your eyes and do a traditional exam and it’s covered by your insurance or if you want we can just take a picture of your eye with this super amazing high powered camera and then you don’t have to deal with the eye dilation bullshit, but the catch is it’s not covered by any insurance and you have to pay $30 out of pocket. I was like fuck it $30 to not have my eyes dilated AND have a better exam, sign me up homies.

That is awesome. I hate having my eyes dilated. Sucks. Lucky that it was only $30 out of pocket. I bet they get a lot of people to use that machine. Some of the machines they use to image my eyes hurt because I have to hold my eye open for an extended time and stare into an obscenely bright light or the worst is the one that alternates between bright strips of light and black strips. It hurts my brain just thinking about that thing.

Month to month. Yes I know it's normally dumb but also hadn't planned on staying here as long as I have and it was way cheaper than other places. Fairly unusual though since they generally only been doing it once every 1-2 years and for small amounts usually

I think I might have a bruised rib. Sharp pain in the lower right side of my chest for the last two days. Helped a buddy move Friday morning, and then foolishly let him convince me to join a CrossFit workout at his gym.

Sucks especially since today is my last day on paternity leave + regular leave.

Last time my landlord tried to raise my rent I was able to find similar apartments online for slightly less than I was paying than I was paying. Told him if he jacked my rent I'd just move out. He agreed to keep me at the same rate. Maybe you could reason with him?

It's a property management company and I doubt they'd care too much. Empty apartments get filled rather quickly as is

A lot of the gyms aren't run well and they don't focus nearly so much on form as they do on reps/attitude. Bad form = Injuries. My brother runs a CrossFit gym and they are beginning to suffer because of the injury stigma starting to creep in. They've branched out into rowing/yoga/more basic HIIT stuff and wellness. They've never actually had a major injury due to form but the risk is FAR higher than it has been portrayed.

My normal gym has CrossFit too so I decided to check it out - the coaches were all really cool and knowledgeable and they never acted like CF was beyond reproach. I stopped for multiple reasons, but mainly because doing 30 reps of squats is fucking hell on your joints, no matter how good your form is

Found a huge lump on one of my kitties belly and I’m really worried now. She doesn’t seem to be in pain or impacted but at 11 years old I don’t want to put her through unnecessary pain or stress either. I’ll just be watching her closely for now.

OK I'ma throw this out here because some of ya'll are parents and can maybe enlighten me. My coworker is involved in boy scouts and her 21 year old son is a leader or something. Anyways, she has a bunch of boy scout people come into work constantly talking about stuff. From eavesdropping they talk a lot about what other troops are doing in a very gossiping way. There is always talk about recruiting in a very serious manner like it's on the level of armed forces recruiting. Also heard them laugh about how they claimed an email address that should've went to another troop and they were laughing about it like it was some huge accomplishment.

I'm not a parent. I was never in scouts nor knew anyone that did it. Is this shit normal?

Fatty tumors are typically not a problem, but the cat is young enough that you might want to get it checked out.

It could just be a lipoma which is a benign fatty tumor. I have one on my arm and dogs get them fairly frequently specially labradors. Ever see a lumpy lab? I hope it is something like that and not something dangerous.
