Had to go in today for my pre employment medical physical/TB test, etc. So I get there early to fill out paperwork and they tell me my appointment is actually for tomorrow. I show them the email from HR and they still fight me about it.
Luckily they were able to squeeze me in but makes me late for everything and don’t even make it into my current job until almost noon.

On the win part though I apparently ranked #1 for the job eligibility scoring so that felt pretty good.

So I decided to go get Thai food for lunch today and drive up and notice the place is dark when it’s almost always bustling. I notice there’s a large amount of construction/restaurant supply vehicles around.

Turns out this was the place that got hit by a DUI driver and went through their kitchen about a week ago. I randomly saw a man article about it on my email this morning but didn’t pay attention it was this restaurant.
No clue when it will reopen which is super sad since their lunch specials are amazing.

Ditto for southern MI. And to boot the central a/c isn't kicking on. We tried to turn the heat on just to see and nope, not turning on either. I'm handyman retarded so is that a thermostat that needs replacing?

edit: Failed to mention that when turning the fan control to Fan On neither a/c or furnace kick on. Google fu is telling me thermostat. Yes?

My wifi has been acting up today. Internet is working fine and modem says wifi working fine but randomly for a bit it will say connected but not well and fail do do stuff alot

Couldn't tell y. Forget if it was Malithar or Mallister who seemed to know a thing or two about home AC and shit.

Ours is probably just the freon leak the guy never actually bothered to fix last time and won't be here until Thursday at the earliest. By then it's supposed to like mid-50s so go fig.

not me, boss. i'm a biomedical engineering technician; we generally contract out anything to do with refrigeration, compressors, AC, HVAC, etc due to regulatory bullshit. my AC fucks up, i call a specialist. i have only very general knowledge about it.

but if you get nothing from heat or cool settings, do the basics and check your breakers, make sure you have incoming power, etc.

then call the man.

Need to get a new box spring, i knew a while ago after the 6 year old broke the wooden support in the middle of the current one, but lately we've both noticed our sleep declining when we're both trying to sleep. It's only about 2 years old now, but the bed frame is old as dirt, and I've wanted to replace it since we moved into the house earlier this year.
Do the box springs make any difference like bed types do, or can i just amazon/walmart one and it do justice? The frame i have now is metal, and they're cheap at the store, but i'm more concerned with the box spring tbh.

I want to say your mattress is exponentially more important as the role of the box springs has mainly been to keep the more flexible mattress from just sinking through your bed frame once weight is applied. For the sake of moving them, I would suggest split box springs over a singular large set, but if you've got access to burly men and no tight corners to negotiate around, normal will be cheaper.

Usually you get a box spring free with a new mattress along with a frame for underneath it all. At least that is what my wife and I got when we bought a mattress last. Mattress stores seem to be always going out of business and having huge sales so you should be able to find a good deal.

The box spring I notice as sleeping higher off the floor for some reason let's me rest better. Comfort wise it's all about the mattress. My gf prefers slats over a box spring so its lower, but eh I'm over it.

Does your heat/AC utilize a water pump? As in, is your AC using cooled water and the Heat uses heated water?

I ask because if you say it's both, the hose or pump for it could have a problem since water is what both have in common.

Not that I'm aware of? It's just a little Amana unit outside the house. Weather isn't too bad today so that's good.
