Honestly I don't see him doing anything until it is a big problem for him personally. Because actually doing something is likely more of a problem to him than whatever complaints the rest of you have and the real problems building up until it hits home personally

While he's super conservative (yes both personally and politically) he understands he's losing 46% of his production and he'll have a disgruntled employee who actually cared about the work and the people. It will effect him quickly since his pay is based off of production and retention. But I do see where you're coming from and how the majority of people like him indeed until the elephant in the room is so big he can't leave said room.

Supposedly leaving coworker is going to have a come to Jesus meeting with him when she leaves about shitty coworker. She told me she's going to tell him she won't even consider working from home because she doesn't want any interaction with the bad one. She said she's also going to point out a lot of the issues she had to deal with which I'll have to deal with now. We'll see.

By no means would I ever do a "If you don't do X I'll leave!!" type thing. When the time is right I'm going to meet with him and just ask him, "Boss do you have a problem if I am a few hours late because I need to grocery shop? Is it OK to leave a few times a day so I can hang out with my friends?" Because it's no different than bad one constantly having personal life stuff interfere with work. It will come down to me saying, "I just need to know if this is acceptable in our work environment so I can plan my days accordingly".

This is 2011, but cleaning out a storage closet when I was with the Sheriff's Office, I came upon this gem still factory sealed.

My parents got me a zip drive one year for Christmas and I never used it. I still feel kind of guilty, but it just wasn't necessary.

Procrastinated on pumpkins this year, went to the store last night and they were fucking sold out and only had tiny pumpkins.

Bought a pumpkin pie for the kids to carve up.

Had a weird dream the other night that’s been sticking in my brain. A couple years ago I had an uncle that died suddenly from a heart attack. I liked him well enough, but I was never super close to him or anything. I didn’t even cry at his funeral. Anyway, in my dream, there he was alive again, looking exactly how I remembered him in life. I was shocked to see him of course and gave him a huge hug and started crying. When I woke up I still had tears in my eyes. I don’t even know where this came from, because I was never super close to him as I said. Maybe it was just the shock of seeing someone that I knew was dead suddenly alive again. I dunno. Stupid brain.

There's quite a few tools online to do it. It's not as bad as it sounds

They definitely do. Eventually their "engineer" looked at the plywood as was like, "Yeah, we don't have anymore of those. You should change rooms." So then they moved me exactly one floor down 80 minutes after my first call.

Today they refunded me the $120 because our office manager bitched at them.

We have an office in the Chrysler tower and the Grand Hyatt is close. I can't fault the location. It was awesome to roll out of bed and head over one street to work.

I was in the area this morning around 8:15/8:30. I didn't notice a panda on the street. I must have just missed you.

I don't know how my company makes money. I find out this morning that my shop is sending me a welding machine to do some TIG welding that I've known about for a long time. So I leave my job and go crosstown to get my welding shield and jacket. Then I beg borrow and steal to get a hot works permit from NYU for the same day(it's supposed to be filed the day before but my shop didn't tell me yesterday about the welding).

Finally get the machine off the truck and plugged in around 10am, 3hrs into my 7hrs shift. They sent me a machine that needs 220v and only provided a connector for a 110v outlet so now the machine doesn't even have enough power to turn on, let alone weld anything. Now for the rest of my day I have to find an electrician and see if he can hook me up somehow. To top it all off the next day I can do the welding is Monday because it's going to rain tomorrow and the work is outside.

    Hah!

I actually walked over to the Chrysler building at ~8:15. I would suggest a BG lunch or something, but the company conference I'm at has every minute planned from 8AM to 11PM and the whole point of the conference is to get all of us to talk face-to-face.

Yeah I left around 11am anyway. I'm back in my main office in the Bronx now. Don't think I'll be around there again this week.
