Random Fail FWP Thread 2: Something, Something, Your Mother's a Whore.

So going thru mail at lunch and normally bills I just set aside to deal with at home but I open one up from my health insurance... and holy fuck I have no idea what's going on. So first thing is they are counting my last couple of payments as credits and counting my last couple months as previous/past due... which is super weird but guess it works out in the end money wise since it's not like there is late fees.

But here's where it gets messy. So for some reason they are counting my premium as a credit adding it to my assistance credits and now I have a $500 credit... no way that's right so going to have to see wtf happened. And open up a 2nd one by them that came postmarked 5 days later and it says I'm actually overdue by $1 and they will suspend if I don't pay. wtf

So work is super so far. 23 messages from the long weekend. Phone ringing off the hook since 9. Power went out around 9:40. Two people are pissed that their claims aren't going to be covered because they didn't pay their bill.

Sounds like a personal problem. Don't let your insurance lapse. Also, they're lucky their license/registration wasn't suspended due to the lapse or they'd be in even more trouble. Unless they're also pissed because of that very reason.

Unfortunately Michigan doesn't have large penalties for driving without insurance. I'd love it if their license was suspended. For the people above, they will always be the ones that mess up but its always not their fault. I was taught when young to always pay your house/rent, car, and your car insurance because if you don't pay your insurance you can't drive to work so you cant cake money.

I guess there was a deal on FB Marketplace this morning selling new Nintendo Switch consoles for $169 and I missed it by like an hour. Booooooo.

So Consumers Energy is saying our power is out until tomorrow at 4pm. My boss refuses to believe this and we're just sitting here doing nothing. He "believes" it will be on soon because they "never" lose power here. Ok your belief trumps the energy company who's doing the repair. Bet he thought the same when the blackout happened.

You need a new job , fuck and I thought o had worked at some shithole places. I remember that blackout I was living in Michigan at the time and my van eventually overheated. Just start reviewing your resume and throw darts to the wall, it doesn’t have to be amazing but morale there for you is obviously at its end and it will affect things long term trust me I know

Consumers changed it to 1:30 now so he's all I TOLD YOU GUYS. For insurance jobs there isn't a place in this town I'd work at. While tough to believe this is prob the best insurance gig.

A coworker is leaving soon so I'm waiting to see any change. I'll give it until next June to see what happens. I don't know if its more of a guy thing but there is this feeling that he must always be right or was the one to come up with something. He's saying "big changes are coming" and I swear if its any of the numerous things I've brought up I'm going to be pissed.

It doesn’t hurt to put feelers out now , have you considered local county/government agencies for different jobs ? I know you work in insurance but that doesn’t mean you can’t look Into other fields you may be qualified for. Whenever I was unhappy working somewhere I would always put some resumes out just in case and got some good work from there.

I thought about emailing my resume to my credit union I bank at for mortgage banking opportunities. Same with the large realtor company in town. I really do enjoy sales but this field is so negative and to be open and honest it makes me unreasonably frustrated because my coworkers and boss are what I'd call low level. They would be the stars of a "what not to do" for selling in a new employee video segment. Don't get me wrong, I do not think of myself as some superstar sales person or what not. A scenario I can give on my coworkers and boss involves a quote she gave where we were less than $45 a month than her current and the lady walked out without purchasing because she didn't understand how payment worked and my coworker didn't have an active conversation and ask questions.

The thing about working here is I basically have given zero effort and have made the same money as my coworker who has been here for 18 years. If I even gave 50% I'd annihilate the top sales this office has produced and would actually made good money. The main issues here are 1)culture sucks 2)people stuck in their ways 3)zero accountability. When the boss/owner doesn't even show up for a weekly meeting that's been happening for years and blames the staff for not reminding them it's very telling of how engaged the owner is. I just don't get it, like bro, this is your livelihood why are you not laser focused on everything going on? But then again a customer will call demanding to speak with him because his name is on the building and he's annoyed that we "didn't handle it".

What I run into here is an office of only 3 so no one has real duties. It's all everyone do everything which allows for laziness because it's "I don't know what happened?!". The way I want to run things requires me to be able to focus on certain things without interruption. I can't do that when I'm answering the majority of incoming calls or taking care of the coworkers mess ups or what not. But since there is no accountability and my boss hates confrontation things never change.

You ain't wrong! His contract is not dictated by growth or new business sales so he just kicks back and collects those residuals. My commission resets every month so I need to find that new biz.

So, Cal State has you fill out teacher recommendations on their website. I spent a long time today writing a student's up and saved it. Then spent forever working on a second student's. Noticed when I hit save on second student, the screen was idling forever. Checked first student's: Gone. Second student's app is still idling after twenty minutes, so I can assume that one is gone, too. -.-; These recommendations are due in three days.
