So things winding up for holidays. Boss tells me that we doing one of the routes we normally do on Tuesday tomorrow so need to get it done. Whatever several stops are around the normal route for this Friday and there aren't many on it so get it done pretty quick. Computer has been acting a bit off so start doing updates and running some diagnostics and he tells me no no the other route we do on Tuesday in a completely different county is going to be tomorrow... and the one I had done is somehow getting worked into Wednesday and so is the normal Friday route maybe or something. Idk he seems completely unsure when I ask to clarify and seems to be making it up randomly on the spot. So guess trying to fix the comp is on hold so I can try and do something that I need the computer that I'm certain will be "wrong" later

and some of the stuff I had done early didn't save somehow. or got erase honestly idk.

Received notice my new shiny was "Out for Delivery" today. 5pm goes by no new shiny. 6:15 I see truck but they don't stop. 6:45pm it's "scheduled for delivery 12/20/18". Just now, No scheduled delivery date available at this time. Scheduled delivery: Pending. Could've left work at 5 and just wasted two hours doing nothing.

Fuck. You. Fedex.

I’ve heard the same sob story from every traveler at the airport today and my level of fucks given is completely depleted. It’s no ones fault but basically I’ve been alone on my traffic control today due to family emergencies and scheduled time off no one picked up overtime for.
And of course I signed up for overtime on Christmas Eve and day but damn it better be worth it lol.

My wife works for United and says there are no flights at all after 7pm so that seems like it’ll be a slow day.

Hah, I actually work for the county itself for the Sheriff’s Office though I did have to go through TSA clearance before I could start.
We basically handle traffic control at the curb because TSA doesn’t want to do it. In addition several other security checkpoints. Most days it’s fine but due to lack of people as well as holiday travel time it’s a clusterfuck.

if it's a hobbyist, they went to some pretty extreme lengths, from what i understand. the drone being used is apparently quite large and not a commercial model, so it's either home-made to a high standard, or someone having hardware they shouldn't.

no sane hobbyist would pull a stunt like this.

Can't make it to Christmas with the family this year because no one communicated. They scheduled travel time on days I have to work, despite me telling them I had to work those days. On top of that, my aunt/cousin scheduled something on Christmas, which is when that entire side of the family has gotten together for the last 40 years. And then said "well, no one said anything." Somewhere around 10-12 people's schedules are now not going to work because a couple people are just dumb. Seriously, wtf.

So apparently we getting new computers I find out after trying to fix this one. Boss starts reading off some stats: water cooled, 8 core, 16 gig ram... and I'm just like but why though? The most intensive thing the computers do by far is me running youtube videos in the background. Turns out owners step son is building them so yeah he's just going overboard. The extra funny on top is we are keeping the newest one we got which is a dell lol. Upside I can totally not install some better games on here to not play

Was washing my feet today and one my toenails felt rather loose, seeing how I could peel off half of it without even trying. Wound up pulling it off and I'm not exactly complaining about pain or anything, still wondering if it's going to grow back just fine. Cause is probably spending 20 km jogging with it wearing what might not be the right shoes anymore, at least the nail changed colours quite a few times after that particular run.

So internet is down it seems. And while trying to check for outages on my phone discovered that my mobile is having connection issues too

Oh boy it gets better. Go to do laundry and only one washer available and for some reason it costs more than the others. Put clothes in and when they are done they still soaked and a bit of standing water but looks clean so put it in dryer. Takes alot longer so again costs more and now it all has this weird semi moldy smell so gunna have to wash it all again

Out doing some last minute shopping and decide to go to the local bubble tea place T4. Firstly this location has always been awful in service but it’s the only one close to me so I was willing to deal with it. Terribly understaffed today and wanted almost 10 minutes to order then they tell me they won’t honor my request for light ice, wait what ? The menu specifically says how you can change the ice/sweetness and they say they don’t do it here even after I point it out on THEIR MENU.

Walked out after that and won’t be back here.
